are not what we concerned. To solve those issues, to us, we knew how to
solve them, and if necessary, we can solve it through coding.

Solutions Architect其实有几种, 其中一种就是非常Senior的Sales Engineer, 其实
就是负责售前技术支持, 说白了, 帮着销售卖东西的.
还有一种Solutions Architect其实不应该叫SA, 应该叫Product Manager或者Product
Line Manager比较合适, 这是公司内部定制产品策略的, 这种人也很senior.
我之前的回复说的Solutions Architect指的是第一种(偏销售口的), 这个工种的人一
般有几个特性:
1, 非常资深, 业界工作经验非常丰富;
2, 非常能喷, 从业界趋势到技术细节, 收放自如, 讲个PPT跟玩似的;
3, 直接和客户打交道, 关系好的可以作为客户的panel advisor;
4, 不仅能喷, 而且动手能力也很强, 写代码, 调试设备, 样样都行;
5, 工资比较高(当然了没有五六十万, 但一般250K-300K base是非常常见的, 这还不包
括奖金);
6, 情商很高, 会察言观色;

island.
一楼的卧室，给探亲的父母住，他们不愿意爬二楼。

审批的地方有个脸熟，比较容易过关。
所以，找个好点的architect很重要，多花点钱不冤枉，一次过。找个差的，设计不到
位，或审批的人耍个官腔，退回让你revise，这又得耽误个一两个月。
好吧，半年有点extreme,从设计，完图，定稿，审批，一个半月还是要的。 |

加压。本来已经是team lead，自己负责一块卡的软件，现在architects忙，老伴居然
让我做一个重要design。自己心里没底，另外我认为自己的工作职责是development，
所以一直很迟疑是不是要接这个任务。
而且隐隐觉得这块design的活architect也不做里面背后有些其他原因。项目很紧，而
且是第一个版本，很多东西没有定型，感觉architects互相推托，怕最后出不来挨板子
。我怕自己一个lead作这个活将来成炮灰，成政治斗争牺牲品。

管理，先是 SUPSERVISOR，后来PROJECTOR MANAGER，现在是PROGRAM MANAGER，联邦政
府１４级，因为是金融管理机构，工资很高，加上福利，实际收入要超过我了。
我虽然也换了几个工作，现在DOD CONTRACTOR， 工资也涨了些，但作为 SENIOR
DEVELOPER 也基本到头了。 我技术很好，工作很轻松，但我不想上 ARCHITECT，虽然
我过去几年实际也在做 ARCHITECT 工作，因为我不想太累，不想失去头发。我LP说她
PAY ＄２６５／H 给她们的ARCHITECT，我一小时才挣 ＄７５，她说我应该最终做
ATCHITECT，我对此很抵触。
LP再升一级就是 DIRECTOR 了， DEPUTY CIO 也不是野望，虽然老夫老妻的不说什么
，但作为中国男人也有点不愿被LP超过的心态，我觉得我现在已经很好了，不想再努力

工作十年，編程能力可以， 工作態度認證，但絕非牛人 or architect。前同事老闆評
價都不錯，這個合同就是從前的老闆幫忙找到的。
但是來了四個星期， 感覺非常不好。分配到的一個任務是找到一個production system
的過量memory usage and performance problem， 以便讓產品可以handle巨大的文件
（it used to handle under 100MB, now needs to handle more than 1GB file)，
和支持大量的用戶 (used to be 10 users per day, now to support up to 5000
users per day)。這個讓我感覺到困難重重， 一方面對現有系統不熟悉， 另外一方面

Sorry for the delay。本来想系统的写点东西，但动笔之后发现自己的水平还是差得
太远，没法handle，时间精力目前也不允许。所以估计就只能零零散散的写点感受了。
大家随便看看就好，不要期望过高，道歉先。这个板上牛人很多，真正的大牛可能根本
没时间来发帖子，我也就抱着回报社会的心态班门弄斧好了。

最后root cause是database的异常导致server程序不停导入大量数据...anyway，
architect认为这就是root cause，虽然还不清楚为毛database会出现异常data...
实际上，真正的root cause是，昨天我公司有了第一个老印，号称有>10年数据库经验
，作为senior DBA进入...
偶狭隘地认为这一定才是真正的原因。
另外今天跟architect一起工作的时候，发现他桌子上堆了起码两份老印的简历，看得我心里那个慌啊。我倒不是歧视老印，大家都是混饭吃谋生而已，但是他们跑过来把我这小公司搞垮，老子就没饭吃了啊。 |
