好吧,我标题党了。事情是这样滴。
本人孕中期开始有轻度的大细胞型贫血,血检结果是缺B12--血液B12含量比正常的最
低值少一咪咪。于是就买了瓶B12开始嗑药。这嗑啊嗑啊,就嗑到了宝宝快四个月。这
几个月里我发现如果停吃B12几天,奶量一定会减少。大概少1/6,从30 oz 到25 oz
的样子吧。
那么我为什么会缺B12呢?这个我的医生也不知道。肉里B12丰富,所以一般美国缺B12
的多是素食主义者。可我是肉食动物啊。所以无解。不过如果google之网上和我相似的
例子还是不少滴。

intectually-challenged mom tends to produce fewer bright kids. But privacy
concerns trump the needs for more evidence in my original post. Therefore,

hard data to prove or disprove a hypothesis. That's part of the reason why

与大学可能不同,我孩子在进职业研究生院(医法商)和职场(MG/Mayo/JH, V5,MBB,GS
)的面试时,他们很看重他(她)中学到大学六年中每星期坚持在普通的retail商店打廿
十几小时工的工作经验,说简历是unique. 说明有韧力和责任感。面试官把这项作为
hard soft.
录取标准分hard分,soft分,硬指标包括考试成绩,排名可量化的,其它都是软指标,
但软指标中的硬件,hard soft,有时更重要,如奥运冠军,Rhodes scholar, 等等。
那些soft soft, 比如学校数学哲学辩论club主席付主席,到医院做几天志愿者,
成立一个只有他和他父母和父母的弟弟的外甥们知道的公司或网站,加分很少。 |

显然读闲书是否有害,也是老美所关心的。我比较同意下面的观点。
一,必须要娃自己选书。我不是有帮主十条吗?其中的一条就是“拍神”。给娃挑书杀
“拍神”。
Books kids read themselves are rated higher than ones adults choose 99% of
the time (anecdotal, but I've taught 300+ students that age!).
二,开卷有益。读啥都行。读八卦都行。因为越读,越会读。词汇量越大。见解越丰富
。需要钻研的时候,越会学习。(显然,老美也有阅读能力的问题。有人就是阅读速度
慢。谦虚的叫做dyslexia)
