个land,没有办法的事。学校经常是拖。但是要遵从一些procedure justice。律师和他
们玩得就是这个外加"ambiguous law"字眼。一个律师在课堂上讲过，如果学区每年给
小孩子的花费少于$25K,你上律师了，基本上会会妥协。因为，学区花在律师费可能都

一次我小孩做Beestar网上数学练习,一道很简单的题却丢了两分. 仔细看后我认定是
Beestar的答案不对.为了小孩这星期能上光荣榜, 我开始和Beestar 辩论. 那个题目大
致是这样的:
Casey’s family visited the Franklin Park Zoo. An 18-foot giraffe there was
the tallest animal they saw. Casey was 4.5 feet tall. How many times taller
was the giraffe than Casey? 四个选择是: A. 3, B. 4, C. 5, and D. 6
显然18除以4.5等于4, 长颈鹿是凯西的4 倍, 就是说长颈鹿比凯西高三倍. 我小孩照我

而不是指difference.
如果这个属实 - 大概属实, 我认为更应该向出题者(不管是
学校的老师, 还是标准化考试的出题者)提出这个问题.
关键问题就在于, 数学讲的是准确, 没有ambiguity存在的余地.
是, 可能英文中"times more than"是什么意思大家都知道,
但这个说法本身明显从逻辑上是可以理解成另外一个意思的.
前面Beestar的回答也证实了这一点.
数学, 讲的就是逻辑与准确. 逻辑上人家可以理解成另外一个意思,
就不能算回答错误. 做数学题时, 学生没有义务去判断
逻辑上暧昧的说法需要采取哪个理解.
做为一道数学题, 而不是语言题, 不应该允许这种情况发生.
出题者完全可以换一种逻辑上没有任何暧昧的说法来描述同样的问题. |

这段文字确实写得是比较清晰的。
首先是 self-explaining，新的符号后紧跟其定义。
然后是一层一层剥洋葱式展开。
还有在合适的地方使用 layman language，比如 “sandwich” 这个词。
当出现有 ambiguity 但不适于立马大段解释的时候，先点一下，让人有准备。然后在
后续合适的段落再慢慢继续展开深入。

Snape 用的是 formal language (pseudo code + deterministic-abstract-machine,
而这些的背后就是 axiomatic set theory)。
而罗素说了，如果你用 natural language，你永远无法摆脱 English Literature
Arts 的二义性（也就是基于 naive set theory）。。。这不是你的 logics
deduction 的问题，而是你选取的 axioms (这里是 naive set theory，加上你自己选
取 naively resolve ambiguity 的办法) 的问题。。。或者古人云：“不知庐山真面
目，只缘身在此山中”。。。
而 Snape 用基于 formal logics 的 pesudo code, 就立即避免了自然语言的二义性。

话说俺F1过期了大半年，现在毕业了正在OPT，许多人告诫我说OPT出境有风险，就是回
不来的风险。连墨西哥的ASC也告诉我第三国F1不能续签，当时我很沮丧，但是学校却
一再确认说OPT出境，只要文件齐全，还是像普通的F1一样来去自如的。第三国续签也
不会有问题。公司在南加，所以我选择了去墨西哥第三国续签。
