主审法官史庄(Justice A. Stong)昨日向陪审团指出，陪审团应使用他们的普通常识，基于在法庭上得出的证据去作出裁决，众陪审员应一致同意有关裁决。倘若陪审团最终未能达到一致的裁决，就要返回法庭通知他，再由他决定下一步怎办。
史庄强调，此案被告米德顿(Trevor Middleton)虽然面对四项涉嫌严重伤害罪名(Aggravated Assault)及两项涉嫌刑事疏忽导致他人受伤罪名(Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm)，米德顿至今仍是被假定清白。而举证被告有罪的责任，由始至终都是落在控方;控方必须在排除合理怀疑下，证明米德顿是有罪。

Covington, Tennessee (The Weekly Vice) - Cindy Clifton, a 41-year-old
teacher at Crestview Middle School was jailed Monday and faces a 53-count
indictment for allegedly having sex with at least 11 students.
According to police, Clifton was suspended without pay by the school back in
August after school officials received a tip of alleged sexual misconduct
