If you add up all the number of deaths from red states, it is 223,745. It

By including MD, NH and VT into the blue states, I actually lower the result

deaths per capita.
Just to satisfy you, once I change them all to blue states, the overall

1473 for blue states. Still red states are 0.5% higher.

As of this morning, there were 128,227 deaths in blue states and 95,721 in
red states, per JHU data. (I did not include DC.) So the real picture is
蓝州贡献57%,红州43%. It is undeniable that there are more
deaths from blue states. However, if you also consider the populations,
then the overall death per million population from blue states is 720, and
640 from red states. Blue states are 12% worse than red states so far.
However, given the fact that most of the nation's deaths occurred in blue
states (NY and NJ) in March and April when it was cold and doctors were not
experienced, it is too early to conclude which states are doing worse.
Below is the data I gather. If you find a mistake, you can point it out,
and I will correct it.

Below is the current JHU's death total for each state as of this morning (10

here since the governors are the ones making state policies or EOs. So at
least for the purpose of COVID discussion it is more accurate to define
according to the parties of the governors.

ones to issue EO to have shelter-at-home or mandate facial masks. Or say it
another way, they are more directly responsible for handling COVID in their
states. I don't care about what those states voted for in presidential
election. So what's wrong with that? Why bother with the definition? If
you don't like it, you can automatically change my "red" or "blue" to "repub
governor" or "dem governor", if that makes you happier.
I used the same definition of red and blue on 10/26, when the "blue states"
