I had AJo in MP. 3 limped to me, raised to $12
Villian: @Btn called, so were 2 EPs.
Flopped: AdJd3s
checked to hero, bet $45
villian raised to $100, he had $215 left, so I shoved. Villian turned over
JJ.
I didn't put him on pocket pairs at all. I thought he may has a flush draw.
Is this a typical donkey play?
Experts, how would you do it? | j**y

like a hand i played recently:
4-way limped pot, i was BB with 23o.
flop: 23K rainbow, i led out $5, only LP stayed and raised to $20. she's a
tight ABC player so i decided to see another street and called.
turn: 9, still rainbow, i checked and she immediately shoved her last $101
short stack.
i took a min to think:
1) i checked the suits of my trash 23o, and made sure there's no other
suited K2/K3/23 hands out there that she could limp with in LP;
2) she would never limp KK in LP;
3) 22/33, very unlikely on this board and with my holding;
4) K9, first she wouldn't raise big on flop and then hit good turn.
so there's only one and exactly one hand she could have here. i told her i
got 2 pair before i called, and her face turned nervous which i knew was not
fake.
river was the fryking K!

发帖数: 233 | 4 I am relieved a bit if you experts think it's not too donkey a play:-)
I've ran into situations like this two sessions in a row. Lost both of them
and they are my biggest leak in live play. Both times, I was the last
aggressor preflop, flopped two pair and my c-bet was for value. But villian
surprised me with strong/abnormal raise out of nowhere. I could fold my top
two pairs, but that strategy can be easily taken advantage of. Call or shove
are both dangerous. So what's the best play? | p****r
发帖数: 9164 | 5 think about the value range that villian raise: AA, JJ, 33, AJ, A3. This
near min raise against your strong flop bet is quite suspicious. normal
player would not raise AK,AJ,AT there.
it really depends how you think villian plays. I would choose to call on
the flop and reevaluate it on the turn. I may let it go against strong turn
action. Against tight player, I hate to lose 150+BB with two pairs.

1) hand 1:
black 99 at LP, 3 limpers, i raise to $11, all call + BB.
flop: Qs8dTc, very shitty one for my holding in 5-way, even with position.
all check to me, i don't think i can take it down here with a c-bet, so i
check.
turn: 9d
it hits me but also a ton of other hands, all still check to me, i still
check.
river: Td
BB (a short stack) leads out $35 (with ~$20 left), tight ABC lady calls, i
shove $170. BB snap calls, lady tables KJo or turned nut str8, she sighes
and lets it go.
whole table is expecting to see some BBJ hands... well, BB only got KdJd.
2) hand 2:
i raise to $12 with JJ at SB, 3 loose limpers call.
flop: Ts8s6d
i c-bet $24, only one LP loose guy calls. he wants to play a hand with me
badly for long, which i know about. why? silly, only because i re-pop his
straddle twice with premium hands (AA/KK) but he might think i'm playing him.
turn; Kh
a blank card, so i bet $45, he snap calls.
river: 3d
i check, he quickly shoves $125. i tank for a min and call because he got a
good chance of busted draws, and he's not likely call all the way and shove
with other medium strength hands here at all.
he shakes his head and turns over T7o. he then quickly leaves the table.
3) hand 3:
3s5s at LP, i limp after 3 limpers.
flop: 4s7sKd
all check to me, wonderful, i bet $6 to build a pot, 3 callers.
turn: the most beautiful card in the world (you know it), all check to me, i
bet $10, just to keep them in, 2 callers.
river: 6c
still check to me, damn, no 6d6h out there??? i think about over shoving
like a donkey, but i believe one EP guy who would call anything other than a
shove here because he shows his doubts on me in quite a few earlier hands.
so i finally choose a reasonable value bet of $35, he calls and mucks in a
few seconds.
damn, BBJ is about $110K.

another 2 hands:
1) first hand of this session, i am BB with 8Jo, 5 limpers.
flop: 7c9cTc, damn, isn't this nut str8?
i bet $10, 1 caller, ABC lady pops up to $35, before i re-evaluate what is
going on, LP shoves $100.
i happily muck. lady calls with Kc3c, and LP shows Jc6c.
2) 5 hands later, i got AsKs at MP.
straddle pot, MP (a regular) makes it $20, one caller, i call too, action is
back to straddler who looks like an internet kid, he immediately shoves $75
. MP tanks but calls, caller folds, now back to me.
i got $230 left, i figure it'll be a tough hand to play postflop if i flat
here, so there's only one thing i can do (AKo i might fold x% times).
MP is kind of shocked, he tanks again and maybe my image is too new too good
, he eventually gives up (well, good or bad? for another $155?).
straddler turns over 99, or my best enemy on such a wonderful flop: QdJs8s.
when you have 18 outs, normally you wouldn't hit any of them, lol.
MP f**ks himself hard and loud, "i folded JJ!"
i tell him that actaully makes no difference to me, pre or post flop.
