Primary responsibilities include:
Creating, developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring clinical
programs
Developing educational interventions for medication or medical issues
Creating materials to target physicians to ensure they have the most current
drug information
Writing member and provider educational materials
Evaluating clinical program results and adjusting programs accordingly
Reviewing data files produced for program-specific client reports
Positions in this function research, develop and maintain clinical pharmacy
programs, such as drug utilization review, prior authorization, health
outcomes, disease state management, care management, and other specialty
programs. Participate in formulary development and maintenance. Research new
prescription drugs or new applications of existing drugs and develops drug
use guidelines. Prepare drug review information for presentation to Medical
Director. Provide quality oversite to various programs to ensure regulatory
compliance. Pharmacists must have a current license without restrictions.
This function may include pharmacy practice residents who are completing
post-graduate training in the area of managed care.
Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
Works with less structured, more complex issues.
Serves as a resource to others.

Qualifications
Qualification include:
Pharmacist licensure in the State of CA, current and unrestricted
Doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) degree
2 years experience working as a clinical pharmacist
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work cross-functionally across the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong analytical skills
Preferred Assets:
Pharmacy benefit management (PBM), managed care, or health plan experience
Clinical program development experience
Research and intervention program design experience
Drug information experience
Pharmacy residency experience
Familiarity with pharmacy quality measures | a********6
