Biology Group Leader Positions (Associate Director, Director, Sr. Director)
Location: Shanghai, China
Report to: Head of Biology
Our R&D center will focus primarily on discovering new medicines to treat
diabetes with the aim of improving the health of diabetes patients in China
and worldwide.
We are seeking seasoned scientific leaders who will be involved in building
a world class research organization and who are interested in career
development opportunities in China. The Group Leader will be responsible for
discovery and development of small and large molecules for the treatment of
diabetes and related metabolic disorders, reporting to Head of Biology.
Qualifications
1. PhD or MD degree in relevant fields and at least 10 years’ drug hunting
experience, including lead identification, lead optimization, and candidate
generation.
2. Proven track record of achievements in scientific excellence and
candidate delivery.
3. Proven ability to develop and lead a diverse team of scientists with
excellent managerial and communication skills.
4. Strong leadership skills and the ability to nurture a culture that values
diversity and inspires teamwork.
Responsibilities
1. Directing research activities in delivering novel, high quality drug
candidates.
2. Developing strong cross-functional relationships with Chemistry,
Quantitative Biology, PKDM, Toxicology, and Translational Sciences within
our Global to coordinate all activities for candidate selection.
3. Establishing collaborations with both academic and industry partners to
identify novel opportunities for treating diabetes and related metabolic
disorders.
4. Building and leading the best team by example and by attracting,
developing, and retaining scientific talent. |
