Everybody says how important networking is.
I'd like to ask a question: how did you land your first pharma job? Especially
Ph.D. level positions. Did your
advisor help a lot? Anybody suceeded just by sending out CV, without any
connection in the company?

yourself into a few very narrow areas. The jobs you can target for should
include all that you could pick up quickly with your background. Big pharmas
wouldn't expect you to save them in the first day of your work.
Change your ID, nobody will hire you if you consider youself to be a failure.
Attitude do change your luck.

发帖数: 4054 | 4 1。 About Networking. Besides your boss, if you have research collaborators,
ask their recommendation too. if you go to meeting, bring your CV and spread
the words that you are looking for a job. I know people succeed in this way.
2. About Luck, sometime you get hired not because you are good, it could be
someone has similar background as you is doing great in this company and they
just want to hire similar people. See? this is pure luck and I know ppl got
hired in this way.
