skin test. If it comes back positive, you can request further tests to
confirm it's TB before consenting to treatment.

发帖数: 1211 | 3 Sorry that I have to disagree on this topic. It is known that BCG does
not provide life-long protection against TB. Nonetheless, BCG shot does
decreases the chance of developing acute TB, particularly in kids. This
is why it is one of the most important healthcare policies in developing
countries. I don't think there is a test that can definitively diagnose
latent TB infection, and positive PPD in people with BCG shots are
common, especially those received BCG within a couple of years. Curr |

contraindicates my view. However, based on the evidence that I can find,
BCG has some efficacy (See the end). My point is the following:
1. Since BCG has some efficacy, its use in countries where TB has high
prevalence is reasonable. It is cheaper than identifying and treating
everyone with latent TB. In fact, CDC considers BCG a useful vaccine for
