发帖数: 405 | 3 If you are looking for best rate and credit, you have to pay 25% down. The min down payment required by FNMA to aviod mortgage insurance is 20% for single family and 25% for condos. But they charge 0.25% of loan amount on each loan.
We do have lenders who offer Lender Paid Mortgage Insurace for low down payment applications.You can pay as low as 3%. To trade off, the interest rate is higher, but it's still conforming loans instead of FHA loans, which could save cuople hundreds monthly payments. |
