和现在房东的合约是按月的。
二月六日通知房东三月中旬搬出, 无耻阿三房东竟然要求我付三月全月的房租, 并威
胁如果不付, 会加收罚款。
阿三的理由是合约只能在月底终止。
我付了阿三半个月的房租, 并附信如果阿三兑现支票,则表明他同意月中停止合约。
现在阿三说他将兑现支票,但是不同意我的条件,坚持我要付全月房租。
现在很着急,钱是小事,但不蒸馒头争口气, 实在不想便宜阿三。
请问各位这种情况我该怎末办最有利,有理,有节呢?

sorry, maybe I am not clear.
Our lease is month by month, I gave him more than 30 days notice( notified
on 02/06/2010, moving out date is Mid march and rent will be paid till Mid
March).
He want whole month rent of March, which I can't agree.

我的上一个apt.30天通知按天算.
再上一个apt.月底前通知隔一个月搬按天算,30天通知按月算.

So your CURRENT lease start on 1st of each month, so it ends on the last day
of each month. Unless stated clearly in your lease, any date past 1st will
count as a whole month.

Called tenant advocacy group in the area.
They are very helpful, and actually looked at the lease agreement I faxed
them, they say this is a gray area and both side have their own case, since
local jurisdiction has no laws regarding how a lease ends when month by
month.
The girl encouraged me to work with landlord to get some sort compromise first,
if we can't agree on a compromise, I can either go to county consumer
protection agency for a voluntary arbitrary hearing, or go to small claim
court
