This position is to provide senior level mechanical design capabilities for
the development of medical devices.As a senior engineer，individual will
provide mentoring to junior level engineers and experienced mechanical
engineering expertise to deliver innovative,easy-to-use,cost effective, safe
and manufacturable medical devices，intended to enable Philips Healthcare
to enter and win in the designated market segments worldwide.

system
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Apply solid mechanical design skills to develop structures,
including enclosure,sub assemblies, wiring harness,labeling and package box,
of medical devices to meet specific performance, cost and delivery goals
according to Philips PCCI quality system. Supervise the tooling development
to make sure the final parts meet the requirements of the drawings.Work with
molder to provide Cpk analysis and appropriate sampling to ensure molded
parts meet specifications over product life.
• As a project team member, participate in and contribute to the
project activities, including product specification definition,scheduling,
risk analysis, design review and design transfer etc.
• Stick to high quality standard in terms of design process,
technical review and mechanical documentation/drawing.
• Initiate and coordinate review of mechanical designs with
manufacturing engineers, test engineers, electrical engineers,and quality
engineers to ensure the design meets the requirements of quality,
reliability and DFM.
• Make, recommend or justify critical technical decisions in product
design. As a senior engineer, speak up in meetings to voice any concerns
that you may have with technical decisions under consideration.
• As a senior engineer, serve as a technical mentor for junior
engineers to reduce their learning curves, help them grow quickly,and
provide design guidance to ensure that new designs meet quality and
reliability objectives.
• Evaluate and apply leading edge technologies and innovations to the
mechanical design to promote the product quality while reducing the cost.
• Create product test plans/protocols according to quality system and
test methodologies.Initiate, coordinate and implement the design
verification to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical knowledge during selection of molders,sheet metal
suppliers and other suppliers to ensure highest quality while meeting cost
goals.Provide vendor management, when required，to ensure suppliers deliver
quality products in timely manner.
