Supplier Chain Engineer
Introduction
The Supply Chain Engineer develops and maintains the relation with the
supplier, at an operational level, with the purpose to create optimal
engineering and/or manufacturing collaboration between supplier and HMI. He/
she will work closely with supplier and development teams to optimize the
effectiveness and efficiency of new product development. The Supply Chain
Engineer will have the responsibility to assure supplier quality through
early supplier involvement; starting in specification and concept phase of
new design developments up to release for volume.

Hermes Microvision, Inc. (HMI), an ASML company, is a leading supplier of
advanced E-beam inspection and pattern verification systems used for
advanced semiconductor devices. HMI has multiple years of e-beam application
experience and leadership in semiconductor factories, focused on high
resolution and voltage contrast imaging. As part of ASML, HMI will boost
ASML’s holistic lithographic portfolio of (i) lithography exposure systems,
(ii) computational lithography and (iii) metrology. Between these three
cornerstones ASML offers application products for process window enhancement
, control and detection.
With your colleagues within this department you cover all competencies
needed for our E-beam inspection equipment and for the complete applications
business line. This results in a broad job scope covering multiple
technical competencies. The programs and projects are relatively small and
have short development cycles resulting in quick feedback loops on
industrialization performance.
Job Description
The Supply Chain Engineer is the link between the project development team(s
) and the related development and manufacturing teams at our suppliers.
The group is, within the department Development and Engineering, part of the
HMI. The task of this department is to develop and deliver our solutions to
measure, stabilize, control and improve the performance of E-beam systems
that produce semiconductors with low accuracy tolerance.
Industrialization within the Development and Engineering department is
providing the competence to drive the operational requirements Reliability,
Availability, Cycle Time, Cost and Supplier Quality into the early design
phases of our products,
The scope include manage suppliers actively, support design for
manufacturability, support development on supplier quality and technology,
and work closely with suppliers to build up an intimate knowledge of their
IP and technological capabilities and feeding that knowledge back into our
development programs,

Job function:
The supplier chain engineer job functions will include but not limited to
the following list.
• Help project team to make the right sourcing decision and analysis
for supplier selection decision making in early design phase.
• Help to break down eBeam product supplier structure into parts level
. PCB, machining parts. In the next step, Cooperate with supplier chain
manage team to integrate the low level parts make vendor to high level
module. (eBeam control box, computer sub system …)
• Point of contact for information back and forth from Development and
Engineering Projects to suppliers to secure technology expertise merged in
the best way.
• Review manufacturability, costs, serviceability aspects of a design,
during design reviews (concept or detailed design)
• Product Generation Process deliverables as Statement Of Work, TPD
Acceptance by Supplier, (Proto) Evaluation report(s), manufacturing flow(s),
P-FMEA, Test Coverage Document(s) and Part Qualification Report
• Definition of build and qualification strategy in alignment with the
Manufacturing Engineer.
• Ensure supply chain be ready to release for volume on time through
QLTC gap closure process
• Supplier related Zero Hour Defects and Root Cause Analysis judgement
; implementing supplier improvement actions in response to quality
complaints and nonconforming products/ processes
Job Requirements
• Bachelors or Higher of science/engineering in Electrical, Mechanical
Engineering, or Materials Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in manage suppliers actively, support design
for manufacturability, support development on supplier quality and
technology, and contribute to review of specifications and reduction of
integral cycle time.
• Knowledge of production processes at supplier.
• Knowing quality control, quantity and timing to meet deliverables
and propose improvements.
• Able to drive, energy and initiative to achieve continuous
improvement.
• Ability to influence without power.
• Strong negotiation skills for interacting with other sectors and
suppliers.
• Team player, still able to act independent.
• Result driven, planning and prioritizing capability.
• Knowledge of design realization.
• Proficiency in English language skills in verbal an writing. |
