州有不同标准？）想开roth ira，钱少于10万。之前一直存银行，太亏了。
看了精华区，说scottrade好，不是很清楚怎么个开法。之前我去boa的branch问过，能
不能开roth，他们好像说得工作了才能开，所以一直一头雾水。
是不是选一个brokerage，然后说我要开一个roth ira账号，之后把钱汇过去就行了？
那么在roth的钱是由broker来投资，还是你自己选择怎么投资呢？另外，roth的每年3
，5000交完后，余下的钱对于学生而言怎么投资比较好呢（就几万），一般想到是一部
分存银行，一部分bond，一部分股票，但没有commonsense，大概怎么个大致比例比较
合适.
还请推荐一个好些的broker，我看精华区里就看到fidelity，scottrade

发帖数: 1962 | 2 Resident or non-resident is a federal tax concept and thus has nothing to do
with state. State has its own resident/non-resident definition which only
affects your state tax. And yes, it's 5 years if you are F1 status.
As far as I remember, you must have income and must be resident alien in
order to open Roth IRA. But I am not 100%. GOOGLE!
There is managed account. "managed" means somebody will manage it for you.
But generally we don't think it's a good choice because that people may
not be bet

看了精华区，主要考虑怎么搞个rothira，然后做些rewarding check之类

我是nra，但不是married，所以看了精华区，好像有说scottrade可以开，但具体哪个

situation.
考虑401k之类。也没时间做股票。

发帖数: 448 | 5 刚试了在vanguard开网上账号，结果说我是nra，不让网上开，要寄申请表和we8过去。。。。受不了。。。不知道你说的这个firstrade和scottrade如何。我倒是不太做trade，就买些mf之类，所以vanguard是首选
