I think a lot of people will raise the same questions like "how can you tell
FA is not working for me? I did make a lot of money in the past." and they
may even give me a long list of all the outperformers.
Ok, let's look at this deeper--Performance Attribute Analysis.
I do FA and I know the feelings of finding a company with strong

发帖数: 30533 | 3 I only did steps 2 and 3, because my goal is to beat S&P500 only, i.e.,
I don't care if I am going to make money or not.
And it turned out the sector underperformed the index, and the stock
underperformed the sector, lol.

why waste time to investment if you pick up a wrong benchmark.

At the current stage of my family, investment cannot be a serious
source of wealth accumulation -- wages are. I tend to agree with
Dave Ramsay's money management principals (those are probably the
only thing I agree with him), which say that investment should start
after purchase of primary residence (not paying off, just purchasing).
In another word, since I have a goal to purchase home in 0.5-3 years,
