的学校不知道这
个 grant。 现在问题就是能不能同时从这些grants给自己发工资？
似乎教授只能从自己的学校拿12个月的工资，不管钱是从哪儿来的。
但是能不能同时也从其他学校拿工资呢？联邦政府审计的时候会不会查这些东西？ |

我们系一同事summer salary给自己发三个月，还教了两门summer school的课，总共拿
到5个月工资。几个full prof.除了翻翻眼睛也没啥好说的。 |

supposed to submit the proposal through your grant admin office and did
those subcontract etc.
If your role is consutant, then you are totally fine to have the other univ
to pay you directly (technically, you still need to let your current univ
knows about it, but many people do not report it). |

发帖数: 93 | 9 I am still having an affiliate research position (not adjunct position)
with another university, from which the grant was submitted several years
ago. Therefore, my university has no idea about this grant. I was supposed
to be a co-PI of this grant. However, the grant admin
office made a mistake so that I was a senior personnel in the grant.
Now I got a couple of grants this year by myself. Therefore, I would like
to know how to reward myself with summer salary.

that will an easy way for you to collect money. Otherwise, setting up a
subcontract with your current univ will complex the situation/process and
you could not get additional pay. The consulting way also can save some
overhead for the PI. |

position with that university, the PI just wants to directly send me the
money without setting up a subcontract with my current univ.

salary last year plus some salary from teaching a 2-week summer course in a
summer school, but the salary from the course had to be put into a personal
research account because my univ does not allow anyone to go beyond the 3-month limit. if your univ allows 14 months, it has nothing to do with any senior prof or anyone else and i don't see the need for them to 翻眼睛. the senior profs in my dept was happy for me, not 翻ing

Some full professors rolled their eyes because they knew she works at most 5
hours a day while collecting 5 months' summer salary.
I don't roll my eyes, but I am jealous, hehe.

to go to places that allow you to get more than 3 months' worth of summer
salary.
