deadline for submission of next cycle. This seems not a good news because
NSF will send the rejection letter after this day to avoid the re-submission
of the same proposal for the very next cycle and to reduce workload. I am
waiting for the decline email. How about the status of your proposal? |

asked the program manager... he told me that NSF has been delayed because of
the snow storm...and he actually signed my papers more than 4 weeks ago...

funny.
The same proposal that I submitted last year for another program, got the
rank of competitive (E, VG, G) but this year (G, G/F, F). Luck is important;
all depends on God ! Try again next time .... |

CBET 的funding rate 太低，俺脚的有些program <4%。所以不要太纠结。拿不到是正
常，拿到是运气。如果NSF funding 对你太重要，是不是该多参加会议去跟一些小牛，
中牛吃顿饭，喝杯酒？当然proposal也要尽量不留把柄，避免语法问题，增加实验设计
的alternative methods，等等。也可以定期骚扰program manager,让他心中有你。一
家之言，俺也是很不成功。但俺现在不以拿到funding喜，不以被拒悲。不像第一次读
到congratulations，曾经泪牛满面。。。。。。 |

左右。

发帖数: 879 | 22 这个program修改policy了。去年我投了一个特别烂的proposal（自己都不忍心看了）
，糟蹋了机会，去年的中奖率特别高，因为stimulous fund。今天又想交，发现要求严
格太多了,anyone received any project >$50k, you are out, no matter how much
your share amount is.
去年这个限制仅限于federal fund. 所以这个项目目前基本仅限于第一二年的新人了，
而且还要有绿卡。一般来说到到了第三年，大家多多少少也能拿到点钱了。
