3T Designs recalls Cervélo bicycles with Aduro aero handlebars due to risk
of injury.
Recall of bicycles using 3T Aduro Handlebar
If you have purchased a Cervélo P5 fitted with 3T Aduro aero bars, please
do not ride your bike until you read this letter and ensure that the repairs
indicated have been completed. Riding the bike without making these
repairs could lead to a loss of control of the bike and serious injury.
As you may know 3T voluntarily recalled the Aduro aero bars fitted to some
Cervélo P5 bicycle models in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product
Safety Commission (“CPSC”) and Health Canada due to the potential for the
threaded inserts on these aero bars to come loose, causing the aero
extensions to detach from the base bar. Such separation while riding can
cause the aero extensions to suddenly rotate forward, causing a loss of
control posing a risk of injury. | i*********5
