This person will be responsible for selecting suitable silane precursors,
reacting them to form a sol and then depositing the sols on glass to form
films. The films will be characterized by a variety of physical, chemical
and mechanical coating characterization techniques. This person will also
be trained in designing experiments (if experienced) and be able to
understand why mixing certain precursors in certain ratios is able to
modulate the resultant properties of the synthesized films. This person
will make sols in 100ml - 1liter batches. This person will work closely
with the Sr. Process Engineer and the Formulations/Scale Up Chemist. |
