RHO (a robot) opened 1NT (15-17) at 1st seat, I came in with 2S, showing
Spade and a minor, and allowed to play there.
LHO (not a robot) led Ten of hearts,
robot won the King and continue the ace,
I ruff try a low diamond, LHO put on the ace and play another
diamond, looks like Ax. I win Q in dummy.
J of club got covered by Q and Ace, I play another club to robot's K.
diamond back and RHO ruffed with S3.
He exited with a heart, I put on the J hoping for a discard, but robot
ruffed with S5. now the position is:

already lost 4 tricks, is there still any way to bring this in? | b***y
发帖数: 2804 | 2 What do you mean "still any way"? The contract is virtually cold now. You
can over-ruff and play a club, hoping that LHO shows out, in which case you can make an overtrick. If LHO follows, you ruff in dummy (club should be 3-3), finesse spades, cash SA, then club (dummy pitches heart). RHO can ruff this, but has to give you DK. Make only 2.
Actually if LHO follows club, you can even try a simpler line: pitch H on the club, then just SA and SQ. RHO gets SK, but that's it.
The point is, once you play a club, you immediately know about the
distribution. And you already know RHO has SK. So it is double dummy.

If RHO holds 3-2-4-4 shape, you can play the 3rd C, ruff it, take S finesse
and claim later.
If RHO holds 4-2-4-3 shape. You also need to ruff the 3rd C with low. Then
SJ and hope RHO doesn't cover it.

there still any reasonable line that would fail"... :-)))
One assumption is that RHO won't have 5242 shape. I just don't think robot
is capable of opening 1NT with that shape.
