in the Department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan. Research
in the lab focuses on the development of statistical methods and
computational tools for the analysis of large-scale and high-dimensional
biological data from genetic association studies and functional genomic
sequencing studies. Recent work includes: Bayesian hierarchical models to
quantify genome-wide inheritance, Bayesian sparse regression models for risk
/phenotype prediction, mixed effects models to control for population
stratification, multivariate models to jointly analyze multiple correlated
phenotypes, and QTL mapping and allelic specific expression analysis.
Position Qualifications: Applicants should have, or be studying for, a PhD
in biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related
quantitative discipline. A strong computational background is required.
Knowledge in Bayesian statistics is preferable but not required.
Application Information: Applicants should send a CV, a short research
statement, and names of referees to [email protected]
