debit card charge you any fee? The western union website says that the debit
/credit card company may charge cash advance fee? I thought it only applies
to credit card. For PIN based debit card transaction, don't they deduct the
amount directly from your available balance? Thanks. |

事好还是坏。
医院和medical school有好些人都是full time research assistant, full time
programmer, 他们的年薪只有4-6万，之所以留在学校政府部门就是看中了这些
benifits，现在政府部门已经几年没有涨工资了，union根本沒有用，争不来。
如果在多付那么多insurance premium,大家都出去找7－9万的工作了。
问题不在union, 不在这些辛辛苦苦赚工资的人，问题在上面赚30-40万每年的头头，还
贪污，union给大家争取3%工资的时候被否决，但是自己偷偷照涨。
还是那句话，如果你们没有在政府和政府管的学校工作过，就不要下起哄。正如好多老
外连中国都没去过却整天跟着新闻，书籍吓吵吵中国的自由啊，人权啊，西藏啊，什么
的。
这年头，眼见都不一定为实，所以，不是自己亲身经历的，不要瞎说。 |

发帖数: 499 | 11 如果开车去newport，我一般留出30分钟的时间，从18st出发，到444 Washington ave.
但不是上下班时间。上下班时间的话可能会堵。。我就不好估计了。
30st往南到20st的palisade ave是union city 和weehawken的分界线, 越靠近30街的房
子越贵，路两边差不多的房子都是两个价，而且没有什么avaliable的公寓卖，大部分
都是2-3units的MF。估计不符合你的要求。
20st往南到paterson，都属于union city，印象中有一些unit不多的公寓卖，好像都是
MF改造的，因为我没有关心过公寓，所以整体不是特别了解。。。
palisade的西边就是new york ave, 几个月前路重新铺过，还不错，最好不要超过
bergenline。 再往西，central ave上面有一些不错的公寓楼，但是原来打过交道的一
个realtor告诉我们12街附近原来有drug dealer活动，把我们吓退了。。
union city的房子从10年下半年到11年上半年是非常好的抄底的时候，房价比起07年基

如果大家还继续去吃，仍然要排两小时队，生意仍然红红火火，Union City这个税我看
加的好，湾区的硅公硅婆给Union
City的居民缴费，增加收入，说不定可以多雇两个老墨扫地。
只要高税率不影响到税收收入，那何乐不为啊。反正硅公硅婆都是要花钱，人家Union
City不亏，只不过是缴税的人可能被
迫要给孩子少买些玩具了。
只有用脚投票，让他们吃到苦头，发现提高税率会带来总税收下降，才能解决涨税冲动
。和中国地方政府卖地一样，不解决

Chinatown or union square的话看你愿不愿意走路了。可以把车停在chinatown的花园
角然后慢慢逛chinatown从stocken走隧道去union square然后走keanry回到停车场。

而且union city到湾区绝大部分地方都是30分钟之类，比fremont好像还要方便点。不

结论就是，三个城市的黑人都很少，fremont从人种分布看还是比union city要稍微好
点，但是远远强过newark。如果学区潜力以asian的数量为标准，newark也是最差的
所以买房子，union city is better than newark |

从社区的环境看，union city远远胜过newark。union city西边的社区环境还是很不错
的，比fremont许多地方要好，房子比newark要新很多。
白人多，也许是newark在所有较量中唯一胜出的一点

服务机构全一点，BART， 2个医院，图书馆，Lake， Ohlone College etc。
你是不是只是在Mowry和Decoto那2条大马路横向穿来穿去？有没有空晚上去Union City
的downtown走一趟？有没有去Newark的Cherry以西走走看看？
Union City在70s， 80s， 甚至00s时发展过一阵，所以有些新区。Fremont是在50s，
60s成型。不要忘了也去Mission Hill 转一转， 看看感觉如何。 |

便一些。算是各有所长，所以价位上差别不大。但总的来说这两块算是Union City华人
还可能考虑的地方。Union City初中高中都只有一所，而且都不太好，考虑学区的人很
多直接就把那里xx掉了，仅是小学的差别对房价影响是没有那么大的。 |

另外一种方法就是把车停在greenbelt,然后坐绿线，转红线在union station下车。不知

同。我做了一点简单的功课， CIVIL UNION 和MARRIAGE有以下的不同
1. 移民权，民事结合的对象不拥有联邦政府所承认的移民权利，如果是和美国公民结
婚的话，拿绿卡时一件非常容易的事情。但是民事结合的伴侣，即使注册的话，也没有
任何途径可以移民。
2。免税权，民事结合的伴侣不享有免税的权力。仍然要以两个单身人士的名义报税。
每年至少要多付出几千，甚至上万的税收。
3. 福利权 异性婚姻的伴侣大概拥有 一千多项福利和保护，比如当年一方去世后，另

I will not say Union will be good for everything, it has some flaws, such as
