Union City传统上并非高尚社区，离南湾工作机会比较多和比较热闹的地方都不算近。
Union city blvd西侧Delaine Eastin小学也是这几年才越来越好，中学还是不行。这
可能是房价相对不高的原因吧。
除了到南湾（mountain view）上班时间大概半个小时（有traffic时比较烦人），以及
附近没有特别好的mall，其他都还不错。 |

即使是UNION CITY， 搞MISSION，山底下的那片有些很便宜的估计不行。但是UNION
CITY BLVD那边的那片新房子，有不少朋友住哪儿，没听说怎么不安全。
如果不是月月有HOMCIDE, 其实还是要看别的，比如ROBBERY, 小偷之类的更靠谱一些。 |

参团前下飞机后，旅行社把我从SFO机场送到Union city的旅馆，有半天时间（大约下
午1点到天黑前），是坐bart去三藩市区自己玩儿好，还是在union city附近转转就好
，没有主意。有老（身体强健）有小（半小不小只爱游戏机）有妇孺（本人，方向感一
般，但勇于问路，不敢租车）。

状况更好的房子；

city 30% philipino, 其他亚裔20%. 小学都还可以（K-5 grade)．中学比较一般(6-8
grade)．高中有快慢班之分．跟附近的fremont比较，感觉印度人少一点． |

平常周末家里很多杂事，很难找出固定的时间去打球。 所以我想在weekday的晚上去打
篮球，非竞技型，纯娱乐。在union city 的James logan high， 球场有灯光，开到十
一点。 平常有两三个朋友一起去，希望再多找些人。东湾的球友有兴趣的回复一下。

差不多，差别在于学区。newark好像所有学校都不怎么样，union city就一个小学还凑
合(api还可以但是不知道是否所有学生都是参加的标准考试），北Fremont小学不错，
初中和高中还凑合，要求不高可以一步到位一直住下去。
我建议你先作两个月的homework再考虑买房，否则稀里糊涂买个房也是麻烦，另外先想
清楚你需要什么样的房。 |

天和今天哭得很厉害， 把我这硬心肠的娘的也给红了眼睛。让我回想起当初他9个月的
时候到阿姨家， 也就2，3天就适应了。 不禁念叨起阿姨的好。
阿姨开的是family Daycare。 常年在那里的小孩子们有10-12个。 他们家都是虔诚的
基督教徒，充满爱心。 爷爷奶奶和阿姨的爱人都一起帮忙照顾小孩子， 我经常去接儿
子的时候， 常看到的一幕是叔叔趴在地毯上，几个小孩儿开心得不得了的趴在他背上
。 真是其乐融融。 阿姨家的饭菜也非常可口， 我有幸尝过几次。 我记得以前我来
推荐阿姨家的时候， 尤其提了孩子们的笑容有多灿烂。
这次有两三个跟我儿子相仿的小孩子都开始了preschool,现在估摸这有空位。如果你感
兴趣的话， 短我要电话号码吧。 对了， 阿姨家在union city Whipple 靠880的边上
， 非常适合家住在北Fremont和Union City的家庭。 |
