还有一个值得关注的是今年11月9号刚从 CHAPTER 11的破产保护中重组出来的GGP。 它
是全美第2大的 SHOPPING MALL OWNER，昨天刚刚宣布了恢复分红。 我觉得也许会是一
个比较好的 TURNAROUND PLAY。
我自己还没买REIT 的个股。 对我自己用 TOP-DOWN ANALYSIS 看好的行业， 我一般先买指数的ETF或者 SECTOR FUND， 再慢慢了解个股。

长。通常的UTILITY 股票属于这个类别。购买这类股票的主要目的是降低整个投资组合

背景：国内EE本科加硕士，毕业后在一家跨国管理咨询（偏IT）国内分部做了5年，09
年来美读MBA，毕业在另一家跨国管理咨询（偏strategy）做associate快满两年。绿卡
没开始。有娃，老婆不工作。
Offer1：管理咨询行业老大的solution部门，title是manager，负责实施公司根据多年
管理咨询经验积累起来的一些大数据软件平台（比如pricing）到客户，主要跟客户的
IT部门打交道。这个部门发展很快，算是独立的一个小公司，但目前还属于startup阶
段，全球500人左右。好处是公司牌子实在很响（一说管理咨询就弹出来的名字），大
数据也属于最heat的领域之一，担忧是需要学习很多数据的technical skill（比如ETL
,SQL)，以及长远来看从偏战略转这个偏技术的方向好不好（不过个人觉得中国人在美
国搞纯战略走不远），还有老板们都是欧洲人（法国人居多），个人经验比较难搞。
另外，想问问搞数据的大牛们，像我这种有一定EE背景，但工作之后没怎么具体操作过

Map/Reduce 有个缺点是过于依赖文件来存储中间结果，后果是运算turnaround 的时间
很长。Spark 的设计目标之一是解决这个问题，spark 里所有的运算都在内存里进行，
所以速度快很多，尤其是对于需要多个iteration 的运算。Spark 的另外一个优点是它
采用了functional programming 的编程模式，写程序要比MapReduce 简洁很多，和其
