Facing the Enemies Within
We are not born with courage, but neither are we born with fear. Maybe some
of our fears are brought on by your own experiences, by what someone has
told you, by what you’ve read in the papers. Some fears are valid, like
walking alone in a bad part of town at two o’clock in the morning. But once
you learn to avoid that situation, you won’t need to live in fear of it.
Fears, even the most basic ones, can totally destroy our ambitions. Fear can
destroy fortunes. Fear can ...

their audience and viewership is the american public, not chinese or chinese
americans. they have no moral responsibility nor bound by law or political
correctness to pander to chinese self-awareness and chinese patriotism.
Just like Chinese citizens love to read about their country getting stronger
, americans like to read about other countries getting weaker.
It's simply American swagger so characteristic of the land of the "brave",
not land of the timid or land of the humble.

来自主题: QueerNews版 - Maggie Gallagher: We're Going to Lose DOMA
Politico notes that Republican lawmakers have been completely mute on the
Supreme Court's decision to take up DOMA, a law which they've spent close to
$2 million in legal bills defending.
Maggie_gallagherNOM's Maggie Gallagher noticed:
Advocates on both sides of the issue said they’d seen no statements from

It was Dorothy's dog Toto, a standard bred cairn terrier, in the 1939 movie
classic "The Wizard of Oz," tugging at the black curtain, who revealed the
Great and Powerful Oz to be nothing more than a humbug,
"Why, you're not a wizard at all, you're just a man! And you're a very bad
man for pretending to be a wizard," exclaims Dorothy. Professor Marvel,
chagrined after having been defrocked, and exhausted, unable to sustain the
charade, replies apologetically, " Oh no my dear... 阅读全帖

We can say one thing of the new GOP front-runner: Governor Rick Perry knows
how to fire up a crowd. The leftist media blew up this week when Perry
reiterated a point from his book Fed Up! that Social Security and Medicare
are Ponzi schemes.
"There is nothing at all about Social Security that is anything like a Ponzi
scheme," declares the Washington Post's Plum Line blog. (Bernie Madoff's
lawyers must be wondering where this guy was during jury selection.) The
blogger claims So... 阅读全帖
