1，财政健康且影响力大的B1G/SEC在TV contract续约的当口，有扩张的冲动，
增加联盟内战，增加冠军赛等都是提高转播报价的措施，扩军因此是必然的
一撩拨，ACC/BigEast/Big12都忍不住了。。。
Pac12是因为地理位置太远，要不也忍不住。。。
2，BCS体系眼看就要寿终正寝，谁是NCAA F冠军这点破事被总统/国会关心了一轮又一
轮，要有新的碗赛/冠军赛系统，自然会有更多的谈判（不管是Bowl Tie-in还是TV
Contract），联盟虽然作为整体对外谈判，但其内部一定会有不统一，早已经习惯了的
“受欺负”和“没话语权”比较容易集中爆发。比如哭诉的马里兰，愤愤不平的玉米。

.13，tier 2每度$0.16，tier 3每度$0.27, tier 4每度$0.31。可以看出从tier 3开始
，电费基本翻倍了。
我的节电措施不是把电费从200降到50多，是从100左右降到了50多。主要是把家里两个
300W的落地灯换成了节能灯，把两台24小时常开的电脑设置了sleep模式（仅这个每天
大概节省两度电，一个月就是60度）。
你同事的14块板，$7000，DIY的？否则应该一万上下。现在讲的太阳能系统，都是指并
网（grid-tied）的，Edisson的电表也大都换成了smart meter，太阳能板发的电家里
不用时就进入公共电网，电表会“倒转”。
我当时是准备装足够cover平时tier 3以上的部分，结果现在不用空调时tier 3每月就

很多人至今还认为，这一层要么是presentation tier也就是web层的依附
要么是integration tier也就是跟db打交道那一层的依附
这是绝对错误的，从我学习j2ee的那一天起，我就坚持认为
business tier才是真正的核心，既不是web也不是db层的依附
所以每当看到别人说，ejb是web或者是db相关，我就觉得有点问题
因为web和db都有专门独立的tier与之配套并封装起来
而只有business tier这一层，无论是spring core也好，ejb的session bean也罢
都是不依附与其他外界的东西的存在，唯一需要的就是下面需要支撑的平台
也就是os和jvm，除此以外，他们是可以独立存在的核心
因为最早j2ee理论提出来的时候，就假设，现有的业务逻辑
是非常复杂的，也就是说定义了input/ouput之后
中间那一个，是假设是可以写很多很多的
所以以ejb为核心，定义其他的组件，所有组件以ejb为核心，围绕着ejb服务

Tier 2:吃老本的，就是以前是大学校队（院队，系队不行，没有比赛数量的保证）
Tier 3: 其他院队，系队的，大学时候打过几场比赛，但对场上位置没有感觉，纯瞎踢。
Tier 4: 足球爱好者，来跑步，散步，交友的。
Tier 5: 用嘴踢的。
Tier 3,2如果坚持锻炼，比赛，和Tier 1差别不大。
另外，的确被GT里一些队的老队员震慑了，40+的身体，把20+的小伙转的找不着北。
南加，和纽约州足球水平明显要高于其它地方，这是中西部地区很多人无法想像的，嗯

同分的按字母序排列. 不很严谨地说, tier-1是可以令人羡慕的, tier-2是可以令
人尊敬的,由于AI的相关会议非常多, 所以能列进tier-3的也是不错的.
Tier-1:
下面同分的按字母序排列:
IJCAI (1+): AI最好的综合性会议, 1969年开始, 每两年开一次, 奇数年开. 因为AI
实在太大, 所以虽然每届基本上能录100多篇（现在已经到200多篇了），但分到每个
领域就没几篇了，象machine learning、computer vision这么大的领域每次大概也
就10篇左右, 所以难度很大. 不过从录用率上来看倒不太低,基本上20%左右, 因为内
行人都会掂掂分量, 没希望的就别浪费reviewer的时间了. 最近中国大陆投往国际会
议的文章象潮水一样, 而且因为国内很少有能自己把关的研究组, 所以很多会议都在
complain说中国的低质量文章严重妨碍了PC的工作效率. 在这种情况下, 估计这几年

5/08 给tier 2 打电话，很幸运的遇到一个人，他帮忙request了 重新把case status
放到网上，他说可能会takes 2 weeks， 结果周五打得，周一就能查自己的case
status了。
6/18 tier 1 稀里糊涂帮忙做了一次sr， 网上说给了回复，但是我没有收到。
7/23 昨天又打了一次，transfer 到tier 2， 怀疑遇到了五月帮忙把case status 可
以重新查看的大叔，他说我的case 4/10 就给了io， 按规定60天要给出一个结果，他
帮我做了第二次sr，并且发了邮件说，this girl never get response from uscis，

architecture?
Without an application server, using JDBC etc directly
skipped the EJB part. Two tier definitely works faster than
3 tier, but again you lose the scalability.
If you don't care distributed processing and scalability,
3-tier does not have much advantage. In terms of maintanence,
3-tier might be better, since change in front and backend are
