Life style, career path, return, are all different. VCs are usually one of
exits for MCs.
Fresh out of b-school, I'd choose a VC firm, even though its a 2nd tier. VC
is a industry - many want to get in and one one wants out. you may not have
the opportunity to break in later on. One can alway join a consulting firm
at any stage of his/her career. |

是现在又有点犹豫了。一是虽然学校地点不错，但是排名很一般，我已经有个phD了，
还是想把握最后一次机会读个名校；二是，PhD毕业直接去读MBA，STEM的opt完全用不
到，两年后MBA毕业opt只有１２个月，感觉找工作办H1B也很麻烦。现在真的挺纠结的
，不知道这样转行是不是一个好的决定，请大家给点意见吧，谢谢。 |

30mbps at no additional charge. Almost double my original speed without
paying a cent more ... seems like a good deal. Not sure if you have to call
in to have them reset your line but my speed test is showing 42mbps
currently.
Their 59.99 Tier is now 100mbps ... seems like a pretty good deal

这样，先不从dto说起了，说tiers
一个j2ee经典的tiers最早提出来的时候，是三层，所谓的三层说的是sever side三层
不包括client side和database
三层里面分别有一层专门跟以上两个东西打交道
一个是presentation tier，这个跟client side打交道
一个是persistent tier，这个专门跟database打交道
中间还剩下一个叫做business tier，这么三层，这都很熟悉了
那么当初提出这个构想的时候
是基于以下一个方式
client side是applet＋browser
presentation tier是servlet+jsp，servlet是controller，jsp是viewer
model需要你自己去提取，去包装
business tier则是ejb，尤其是session bean，stateful和stateless
persistent tier也是ejb，是entity bean
database用jdbc连接

我12个月的OPT 6月30号过期，学校建议在90-120天之前申请STEM Extension。 于是2
月26号回到学校申请，学校帮忙准备材料，I-765填的是家里的地址，和Form G-1145一
起寄到TEXAS CENTER. 计划3月初USCIS能收到，正好提前120天。
3月9号收到email和短信通知， USCIS收到Case，给了Case #，在Vermont Center处理
，30天之内会收到receipt。本来一切都非常顺利。但等了2周之后，receipt还是没到
，心里开始打鼓，我离Vermont Service Center很近，即使是平信3-4天都应该收到了
。担心之余，我找到了去年的OPT申请，上面写着收到email的转天，receipt寄出，3天
之后学校通知取receipt (当时用的学校地址)。我感觉receipt可能出了问题。参考大
家之前的经验，不等到30天打客服电话，客服是不会理你的，于是只能继续等。

本来不想写关于C和BAC的分析，一来我有它们的position，谈起来不很中立；二来很
多information属于nondisclosure的。但是，架不住很多朋友太关心这两家银行，就废
话几句。我只能把public可以看到的information提供出来，加上我个人的看法，和大
家商讨。首先声明，提供的这些信息对“赌博”没有什么帮助，我是target那些想投资
这两家银行的人。另外有一条，希望大家不要扣字眼，没意思。
看一个银行的好坏，出来一般公司都有的revenue，growth和profit等指标，还要看两
个非常重要的指标，tier 1 capital和TCE-tangible common equity. tier 1 是一个
