流学生，尖子不多，很可能造成API高， 而SAT不高。其实对照这两项指标，可以一定
程度上反映学生成绩发布。
请问楼主, 很好奇，这湾区一流学校与全州，全国的名牌高中相比，如何？ 应该不错
吧。 特别是没有入学selection 的情况下。

象麻州，不过估计很难。
至于你说加州和高中的SAT跟你孩子一个有什么关系，中国历史上有孟母三迁的故事，
这连韩国人日本人都知道的，大多数中国人也是这样践行的。

I am conjecturing that there is a parent's push factor, esp. amongst the
Asian families; e.g. the parents push more tutoring classes and more SAT
prep books. This factor works for larger Asian schools like MSJ, that is
why MSJ has more high end SAT than others.
More Asians, more push, larger number of high SAT scores.
For the lower average MSJ vs. Lynbrook, I believe some parents just resign
to the fact it is not worth to pay to cross 2250 line. When there is no
under push, the laggards perform even worse.

I am trying to use the limited data points on SAT scores to seek our answers
for questions below: top tier means kids above 2250 on SAT; these questions
help future parents to determine if they should move to top schools
• Is Lynbrook better than MSJ for top, middle, or bottom tier
students?
• How much impact does parent push for top tier?
• Do income levels and house prices come into play between the two?
• Do more top tier students mean more top tier colleges’
admissions?
• Will more top tier applications reduce the chances to top
universities, or is there a linear relationship.
• Is it because MSJ the only top school in Fremont, as opposed to
Cupertino/SJ area where more top schools are available, hence 2250s are
spread?

”。这样的话，那还抱怨什么人家用SCA5来限制亚裔招生？
事实上，SAT不是天天补习就能很好的，熟悉了是比不熟悉好，但再靠多练去提高成绩
就很难了。相信所有考过GRE或GMAT都有此感。SAT也提供样题让大家熟悉，以便Even

You maybe right, another theory is that the reason MSJ has more 2250 kids
over Lynbrook is that it is the only top school within 10 miles radius, so
it gets tops from Milpitas, Fremont, and even Pleasanton.

This is interesting,
more Asians in MSJ, and yet, the average is lower than Lynbrook,
what does that tell us?
It would be interesting to separate Math and English components.
That should tell us more insights.
