码）。我买了在sprint上使用半年之后，有一天突然发现其中一个号码不能用了。我赶
紧给sprint 打电话，说号码已经被人给转走了。我又和ebay上这个卖号码的卖家（一
个白人，看名字可能是犹太裔，当然也可能是假名）联系，它说可以帮我找回来，跟我
要这个手机的账单地址和密码，我就给了它一个假的密码（因为我当时比较怀疑是这个
卖家偷走的）。打完电话十几分钟，我发现另一个手机上的号码也突然不能用了，于是
我确信这些号码都是被这个卖家偷走的。然后我又跟卖家交流，它就是一幅死不认账的
无赖嘴脸，让我用paypal 给它300$，说它收到钱后帮我找回来，还必须non credit的
方式支付。我和ebay说这个事，ebay表示事情已经过去半年了，他们也无能为力。当时
sprint告诉我是卖家拿着伪造的证件要求补办一个新的sim卡。现在已经两年过去了，
这期间卖家的ebay账号被关了，前段时间我发现它自己办了一个网站在网上以很高的价

希望拿出闲钱的一部分，买一些Vanguard ETFs，我个人比较保守，毕竟咱没有大背景
都是勤恳劳动血汗钱，但我也不算是风险厌恶型吧。
新手上路打算先来$50万，期望折腾一年下来回报率最好在8－10%左右。当然顺便还可
以分散一点家庭资产的风险，全是人民币也不是常事啊。我和LD是绿卡，回头还得咨询
下会计师，国内父母在美投资的收益怎么操作最为合适。
目前Peter Lynch的书我正在看，英文太烂看起来费劲；还是希望同时进行，先研究起
来，非常希望得到各位大佬的指教！！俺伪币不多，每人20发完为止。
Vanguard网站上看了看，他们ETFs产品有很多，分类方式我希望先通过风险分类(1-5)
，虽然这些风险分级不是绝对的，但也算是我目前认知各种ETF的一个方式。简单看下

graduate的职位,而且说没有特定的职位,面试完了再决定安排到哪个部门.
结果刚刚收到hr发信说:经济形势不好,取消了我的电话面试,以后有了合适的再说.早晨
起来的时候感觉前途一片光明,生活真美好,收到邮件就觉得life sucks!!
不知道是我背景弱人家看不上,还是真的就取消了一些职位,不是说经济形式转好了么?

小弟在此汇报一下自己的方向，请高手指条明路：
硕士阶段主要项目就是EDFA，GaN waveguide设计，用仿真软件计算电磁场Mode的分布
，lifetime&across-section测量，用Matlab做物理公式计算出效率和Gain spectrum之
类的。有时WDM一下。
通常，我设计最优波导结构，发给工厂或者物理学院，我顶多CAD一个DXF，GDSII版图
之类的东西；
但是，我没有超净室经验，片子是物理学院为我们现成的，拿回来搭建测量系统，开始
各种measurement。如果实验和之前的理论一致，开始写paper。
现在又开始研究graphene, metal nanoparticle, solar cell之类的东西很杂。
请问我这算是什么呢？
超净室：我没进去过，不知道怎么做fabrication和工艺；
激光：semiconductor laser，温控&流控&电路&调制。。。（有时烧激光器：P）
硬件编程：您指的是什么？FPGA吗？

子看了很多，很多拿了FLAG之类公司的人都说自己不是大牛啦，没准备多久啦。 LZ 觉

首先说下背景。本科西安一个万年211的高校的telecommunication，EE很强（西安的同
学应该猜到了是哪个了）。本科没做过research。春季入学了LA一个中国学生超级多的
学校， 专业CS， Master。没有任何实习经历或者research 经历。因为LZ完全不知道

子看了很多，很多拿了FLAG之类公司的人都说自己不是大牛啦，没准备多久啦。 LZ 觉
得都太假了。 所以希望LZ的帖子能真正的对之后同学的人有些启发。也给LZ攒攒RP啦。
首先说下背景。本科西安一个万年211的高校的telecommunication，EE很强（西安的同
学应该猜到了是哪个了）。本科没做过research。春季入学了LA一个中国学生超级多的
学校， 专业CS， Master。没有任何实习经历或者research 经历。因为LZ完全不知道
从哪下手于是就作罢了。 科目修了OS，Alg，DB， ML， Software Architecture，AI
。GPA3.79
1月份下旬开始投的简历，因为有大牛的帮助，有5个refer。结果LinkedIn 和twitter
refer直接被拒，Yahoo 一直没合适的岗位。自己也投了将近10家大公司和4家小公司，

发帖数: 42 | 48 毕业后加入了一家telecommunications公司做Dev，进去了发现不是很喜欢给我分配的
工作和组，而且面试时候对我说的一些比较新的东西（NoSQL什么的），我进去发现上
马还遥遥无期。我想这样的工作经历是不是对自己职业发展不是很有利，而且公司的氛
围就是工作工作工作，加一堆白人自high。
所以请教下，如果这样刚毕业工作然后就跳槽 是不是不太好。而且今年这个形势。。

之所以是另类，请听我慢慢道来：
大妈的理想职业是这样的：
1） 自由支配时间，一周工作不超过20小时，最好是可以telecommunicate，大妈实在
是不喜欢朝9晚5。
part－time的在家里的工作最适合我。
2） 工作最好不要太stressful。 工作时间内把工作做完就不再想着了。
3） 要求不高，只要能养活自己，一年还能有点余钱度个假期啊啥的。也没想着能
climb the career ladder，哪天变的高大上之类的。 就是说，要是在饭店当服务员可
以在家里的网上当，大妈也愿意。可没有这样的工作。
4） 大妈的学习能力是超强的，国内本科和美国的研究生都是top 5理科名校毕业的。
以前有较强的数理背景。对枯燥的数据之类的也不反感。
5）有绿卡，所以不用担心身份的问题。
6） 最近看了database analyst 的工作，觉得可行。就是没经验，大妈也不介意从头
学起。 就是没在这行干过，不知道个中滋味。有没database analyst 大拿给看看这个
