INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
The City of Des Plaines is seeking qualified candidates to fill the full-
time position of Information Technology Specialist.
Position Overview
Primary position responsibilities include assisting in administration and
maintenance of City’s information systems including all related desktop,
server and user support. Position will be tasked with project management
duties, and researching and recommending innovative approaches for system
enhancements. System characteristics include Cisco network, New World
enterprise software and MS Office operating environment.
Position Requirements
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or
related field, and at least three years of progressively responsible
experience in information technology; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Advanced knowledge in ColdFusion/Web and VBA
programming language, and SQL database management a plus.
Compensation and Application Process
Salary range: $59,255 - $80,173. Starting salary is DOQ. Excellent benefit

The Village of Deerfield is seeking applications for the position of
Management Analyst
in the Village Manager’s Office. Responsible for providing general
management
assistance in daily operations, the position requires a masters degree in
public
administration or related field and one to two years experience in municipal
government.
The position works under the direct supervision of the Assistant to the
Village Manager.
The Primary duties include: supporting communications including the village
website;
bi-monthly newsletter; e-news updates; coordinating cable access and
telecommunication
activities; serving as staff liaison to advisory boards and commissions;
assisting in
preparation of the annual budget; coordinating special events planned by the
Village;
performing survey and other research assignments; preparing weekly board
distributions;
serving as Deputy Village Clerk; and other duties as assigned.
Starting Annual Salary: $55,157
