正餐。大多数dayhiker都是自备的午餐，不想自带可以考虑到grand lake边上的小镇吃。
buffalo肉经常在一些餐馆吃burger时会碰到，我个人吃不出太多区别，可能是这方面
反应比较迟钝吧（碰到很多美国人很夸张地用手跟我比划说麦当劳的burger和正常美国
餐馆的burger有天大的区别，我也感觉不太到。。）
Longs peak属于strenuous级别的，路程长，一天走完的话，需要凌晨3-4点出发。而且
你的季节不太对，常规路线想登顶的要等到7，8月份，6月应该高处还有冰雪。keyhole
之后的路很不好走，很陡很危险，有冰雪情况下会要命的。如果近距离看看longs peak
的话，建议走chasm lake这个trail，不太远，终点的chasm lake就在longs peak的正
山脚下。 |

目标是strawberry peak
local hikes上标的难度是strenuous，果然有一定难度。
只是在一个四叉路口，小麦同学知情不报，小孩同学谎报军情
让我们错过了能上顶的路线，导致我们几乎走成了localhikes上point to point
的路线，虽然来回9mile,也很痛快，但是没有登草莓峰，大家始终有所遗憾
征集人马下周末重爬草莓峰，回头整理帖子正式招募
要参加的要切实考虑一下，这个trail比最近两个月来的所有trail难度都高
尤其最后上顶那段，非常陡峭，未知具体长度，估计1.2mile 的样子，高度差有
1300feet。希望招募真心想上顶的同修们。
日期还在犹豫，老江湖hiking小分队内出现分歧，小麦同学周六上课
老牛周日不愿意走太累。。。。。。
可能还是周六吧，周日可能的确太累周一没法上课
那一带trail很多，下几周又有的走了，哈哈 |

的速度感，却有着更加脚踏实地的感觉。
Timber Mountain 是 Mount Baldy 地区的一座山峰，海拔 8300 英尺（约 2500 米）
。Mt Baldy 一带的景色都不错，群山连绵，最高的 Ontario Peak 海拔在一万英尺以
上。从时间和距离上考虑，这次先爬矮一点的 Timber Mountain。
总共 9 mi 的距离，3400 ft 的高度差，约需 6 个小时。难度级别标的是 Strenuous，
但是肯定不象草莓峰那样需要手脚并用，一般人都应该能走完。

标 题: 本周六（7/26）自虐爬山： San Gorgonio 9 Peaks

线路: San Gorgonio 9-Peak Loop
难度：Very strenuous, 需要有充足的体力
基本线路简介：
从 Momyer Trailhead 出发，沿 Momyer Trail 到 San Bernardino Mountain 山脊后
先向左（西）走到 San Bernardino Peak，然后折返向东，走 SB Peak Divide Trail
一直到 San Gorgonio Peak，最后沿著名的 Vivian Creek Trail 返回。初步计划早上
4点从 trailhead 出发，晚上8pm左右返回。
总里程约 26 miles，净爬升（下降）约 6100 尺，总爬升（下降）约 8000 尺。

发帖数: 4509 | 45 这么个狂风大作的大选夜里，可怜的kerwin同学被困在vegas的豪华酒店里无网可上（
因老板不愿付上网费），所以这次还是我来吆喝。
定在周六（11/8）上午9:30在去 Echo Mountain 的trailhead 集合，10:00准时出发。
这次的路线是经过Echo Mountain 上 Inspiration Point，和置顶之一的爬山路线相同
。但是我们要晚些集合，并计划7个小时走完。全程来回共10.4mi，爬升2740ft，
仍然是strenuous级别的难度，和前两周走的路线难度属于一个量级。但是这条道的好
处是，嫌难度太高的人可以把途中的 Echo Mountain 作为目标，那里有个旅馆的废墟
是很好的休息场所，这样距离和爬升都减少一半（5mi/1400ft），体力消耗则小于一半
。当然还是希望去的人都能走完，Inspiration Point上面的风景要好得多。

发帖数: 306 | 49 I swear by this exercise. I tried knee braces, shoe inserts, and hiking
poles. Nothing really worked until I started to do this.
If you want to make it more strenuous, you can do it while sitting against
a wall or sofa - that makes the lifting harder to do.
The other one where you stand on one leg and lift yourself up and down a
few inches is a good warming up exercise. |
