发帖数: 103 | 9 发现学校assign给我（新faculty)的lab space很小，是和另外一个老师share一个lab
（有不到1000sqf),平均到我的space才四百多sqf, 如果只是用于做试验不用于学生
office的话，应该还够，但如果学生也要在里面，可以放试验器具，但做试验的地方应
该不够。不过，如果学生做实验时可以占用另外一个老师的space就可以。不晓得这种
和其他老师share lab的情况，一般是严格让学生做试验只用自己的那部分space（不到
500sqf)吗？还是不严格限制（可以在实验时占用1000sqf)？

。inspection report上根本就没有写。craw space的入口在一个storage room里面，
没有被阻挡。昨天爬进去检查了一下，发现有一面墙（挨着garage）上面有一个缺口，
可能是预留的入口。问题就在这个缺口上：craw space地势很低的一面的土很潮湿，应
该是下雨时有水从哪个缺口里面渗透进来了。请问这种情况能告inspector吗？
另外，如果请人把这个缺口用水泥做起来，再把地面平整然后铺上水泥地，大概要多少
钱？craw space面积大概15平米左右。 |

分的crawl space 很潮湿，前一段时间下大雨，里面积过水，另外一边的crawl space
，根本就没有下去看的入口，所以什么情况都不知道。而且crawl space 很低，大概只
有2个ft高，据说人工会很贵。
房子是1940年的老房子，现在的问题是crawl space潮湿，另外一边情况不知道，attic
里面有mold，房子地面有点倾斜，屋顶不平，有点呈波浪状。
我想问一下要修这些，是不是很贵啊？每一项大概多少钱啊？
非常感谢！因为我不是屋主，所以大多数公司没有免费估价。 |

发帖数: 319 | 15 Crawl space要弄的话，一般需要在里头沿着perimeter的墙挖一条2尺深的French
trench埋上排水管，然后看crawl space面积决定要一个还是两个sump pump，有的会加
mechanical ventilation或者就把crawl space封起来，加抽湿机。整个下来找正规公
司做基本上一万左右，好处就是终生保修。Crawl space可以找专门做waterproofing的
公司来做inspection看看什么问题，都是免费的，多咨询几家。
地面倾斜可能是房子本身结构不好或者哪里的负荷超载了，或者房子的横梁在设计和施
工的时候没有严格按照规范要求做，也可能是地基下陷，但是如果是老房子，一般下陷
也好结构弯曲也好都应该已经定形了，对安全没什么威胁。你如果不放心，可以找
structure engineer来做structural inspection。如果是房子结构问题的话，可以加
support beam或者柱子，我知道的每个柱子大概2000。
mold的问题不清楚，没遇到过。 |

岁，８岁）。cruise是 noon-4pm登船时间。
我想问一下上午9点去参观 space center，到中午时分结束是不是差不多够了，这样可
以从容的赶上cruise的登船？
貌似space center有bus tour，2小时，这个应该是必参加的吧？

只是放水泵积水 属于治标不治本 可能隐藏了其他非常重大的问题
我现在正在盖的这个房子 也是盖到一半的时候crawl space开始出现积水
开始以为是地基有裂缝 —— 这个非常严重 可能影响到这个房子的安全性 而对于
builder我来说 意味着可能要地基重做 全部重盖
后来所幸发现不是 是因为二楼有一个阳台没有做好 有结构问题 导致水可以顺着外墙
一路进入crawl space 那堵墙长期以往最后也会被毁掉
最好阳台拆掉 那面墙全部重做 crawl space的积水也解决了
所以也像楼上几位提到的那样 我就是想跟你说 一般这种积水只是一个表象 往往有更
深层的原因 （一般是结构方面的 有的是开始就没有修好 有的是之后老化）
所以你一定要弄清楚根本原因 |

房龄二十多年， 在Bellevue 算比较新的了，inspection 发现crawl space 有几处水
，每处大概一两杯水倒在地上那么多。 inspector 说水是从一个墙上进水管的地方没
密封好进来的，和从几个footing 处进来的。除此之外crawl space 其他状况还好。地
势在小区不算高也不算低，房子lot 比较平，一侧往上有个小坡，另一侧比较平略低于
这个房子。
这种问题如果想做进一步的检查，应该找什么样的人？
想知道类似这样的问题，在本地有多普遍？要是旧房子一半以上都可能这样或其他更严
重的问题，就让seller 修好算了，要求旧房子想新房子那样完美也不现实。 要是绝大
多数crawl space 在任何情况下都是干的 而且buyer 一般很介意这个，那我就考虑退
出了，因为将来卖房子也是问题。 seller 现在的口气是你不要还有别人等着要呢。我
现在考虑是要是通过密封和地面雨水引流能解决那就还好，要是要装个pump 才行我就
想算了？ 本地同学给指点下吧！ |

Lost In Space
這段時間一直忙于期末的東西，身心都很疲憊，人也頗為浮躁，做什么事情總是靜不下
心來。昨晚（準確的說應該是今天臨晨）的時候為了寫一個final paper，硬著頭皮去讀
五篇文章看得我頭昏眼花。不過本文的重點并不是我想像一個失去丈夫的怨婦一樣抱怨
，而是就是在這浮躁的氛圍中，我發現我似乎忘卻了什么東西。
很久沒有過被音樂打動的感覺，但是就是在昨晚我看文章看的冒火的時候卻被我正在聽
的一首歌打動了。很巧合的是（也許不是巧合也說不定）打動我的正是我剛剛接觸金屬
時曾經打動我的Avantasia樂隊的新歌。關于Avantasia，實在有太多的回憶在里面了，
他們當時的那兩張The Metal Opera I & II專 |

都用了一遍。删除cache，关闭防火墙，让IE打开网页时自动刷新，该试的都试了，还
是无法显示。我公司的电脑上space的时候照片还是能正常显示的。看来问题出在我电
脑的设置上。我是IE7，防火墙是Zone Alarm，杀毒软件是诺顿企业版。
另外我电脑在登陆那些不需要登陆验证（对公众开放共享的space）的space的时候，还
是能看到图片的。这可能说明问题出在登陆验证上面。反正我自己已经是无法可施了，
大家有遇到过这种情况的帮忙给个建议吧。Thanks! |

there is extra space, but if you measure it, there isn't (unless
you have loaded other packages that modify the spacing).
If you insist on adjusting the spacing but only for this
equation, try the following. I also recommend the amsmath
package's split environment instead of eqnarray, which has
known bugs in how spacing is calculated.

additional 3GB of Dropbox space that is not time limited.
Just use the Camera Upload and get 3GB of space for uploading 2.5GB worth of
pictures. I did this about a month ago when it was in beta and got an
additional 5GB of space on my account. The additional space does not have a
time limit on it either.

标 题: 俺来说说Space Odyssey 2001为什么是我心目中排名第一的电影吧

前一阵大家说这部电影不好，本来嘛，这好与不好都是因人而异的。不过我的一贯观念
是，如果同样花钱看同一部电影，别人比自己感动得深，享受得多，那我不得不说，他
/她真是赚到了！所以我知道即使有n多人不屑，也还是想说说自己为什么觉得这部“闷
片”是我心目中毫无疑问排名第一的电影，因为说不定，也有人想跟我一样，通过别人
的经验也“赚”一把。
我这人比较啰嗦，要说这个话题，得先从写字儿说起。
我开始照着Sol Stein的书学习写小说的时候，牛人说了，写作最难的在于要show the
story，而不是tell the story，也就是说，要让文字产生画面感，那是要下真功夫的
。我想大家小时候上语文课可能都读过老舍那篇写夏天热的，我印象最深的就是，老师

星。阿三把自己吹成了世界第一。实际上阿三的航天和卫星水平，只能够算得上第二阵
营的。
因为这些卫星都是极小的重量，都是按公斤算的。这一次Space X 展示的一箭60星。基
本上也是这个套路，毫无新意。但是，Space X展示这个能力，主要是想要完成它的星
链计划。
所谓的星链计划，就是SpaceX准备在天空中搞出1.2万个小卫星，用于全球的通讯。
但是，BBC警告说，近地轨道上面本来就非常多的卫星。Space X还搞这么多小卫星，很
有可能在太空形成灾难。可能会造成大量的卫星相撞事故。 |
