physical address < 896M的部分，这个部分（Low memory）和physical address只差
一个constant的 offset. 另外一部分是 physical address > 896M的部分kenel不能直
接访问，要做一个mapping 建立page table后才可以访问。
kmalloc返回的地址就是 logical adress， physical contiguous, 这个部分地址不用
page table.
vmalloc返回的 kernel virtual address是 virutal contiguous, 要建page table
1G以上的memory是可以用到的，把暂时不用的page mapping保存一下，然后去map 别的
部分就可以了。

However, the old house has a back staircase, taking up 80 square feet space/
unit, 160 square feet in total. The staircase is right next to kitchens
that is quite big.
The idea is to convert the staircase space to new kitchens so that the

寒冷冻曝了水管，保险理赔了快$40K。现在卖家不给换水管工程报告，估计没化掉这些
钱，crawl space 里很脏乱，管道也都没任何包裹保护，估计是打开出口让里面干燥。
有经验的说说这个修理的化多少钱？有这个space的多久查看一次 清理一次？非常谢谢

切断水源后，保持crawl space的通风，如果有条件，用玻璃砖做个透光口把太阳光引
进去杀菌。
crawl space的霉味都能进到房间里，说明要么crawl space和房间之间的密封也有问题
，要么房间里也有常年潮湿的地方。 |

house inspector 发现crawl space有泥而且稍有积水
我们在加州湾区，昨天刚下完大雨--不知道影响有多大。
木桩上的mark说明水曾经到过木头(如图)。
院子里有两个sump pump, 屋里正下方还有一个。
但现在只有一个plugged and functional。
请问问有经验的同学
1. 这问题有多严重？ house inspector 说 foundation 现在没问题。
it's not a deal breaker but it should be treated.
他建议找 licensed contractor 估价。
2. 这东西该花多少钱修？我看网上有公司做Crawl Space Encapsulation,
这个值得么，还是 fix pump 就好。这两种修法估计价格差不少

潮湿。湿气被木头吸收由毛细现象往上传。如果Foundation的水泥下面的土壤没有陷落
，水泥墙和土地之间没有镂空现象，水泥墙没有明显的大裂缝，那就问题不大。
Crawl Space潮湿和地势有关，也可能和地下水位比较高有关。如果Lot本身地势低，
Crawl Space很容易潮湿。但是湾区有大半年的旱季。所以这一般不影响房子的结构。
也没必要做什么补救。
Inspector因为有Mud而不再往里爬去检查其它地方是不对的。这又不是沼泽地。 |

味道。crawl space里发现了7-8只死老鼠，insulation 里发现多处鼠粪/鼠尿，老鼠爬
过的痕迹。
不知道这样的情况，容易改正吗？成本有多高？

trap in crawl space. This only cause around 50$. We did not buy the service,

Lost In Space
這段時間一直忙于期末的東西，身心都很疲憊，人也頗為浮躁，做什么事情總是靜不下
心來。昨晚（準確的說應該是今天臨晨）的時候為了寫一個final paper，硬著頭皮去讀
五篇文章看得我頭昏眼花。不過本文的重點并不是我想像一個失去丈夫的怨婦一樣抱怨
，而是就是在這浮躁的氛圍中，我發現我似乎忘卻了什么東西。
很久沒有過被音樂打動的感覺，但是就是在昨晚我看文章看的冒火的時候卻被我正在聽
的一首歌打動了。很巧合的是（也許不是巧合也說不定）打動我的正是我剛剛接觸金屬
時曾經打動我的Avantasia樂隊的新歌。關于Avantasia，實在有太多的回憶在里面了，
他們當時的那兩張The Metal Opera I & II專輯一直也被奉為經典，而對我個人來說，
那兩張專輯更是引導我步入真正金屬殿堂大門的引路者（那個時候我還不大能夠接觸極
端金屬)。除了被他們音樂本身所打動外，提起Avantasia也總讓我想起一個曾經的朋友
，一個聽到Avantasia那首歌就會流淚的朋 |
