发帖数: 109 | 3 公立还是私立？公立很难直接涨工资的，尤其你是entry-level。但是有很多曲线救国
的方法。比如你可以问问能不能给点summer salary，说你summer也要工作，比如头三
年经费困难的时候，这个一般好商量。然后你还可以多要一些startup，比如也给个几
年的期限。spouse hire就不要想了，我的经验是spouse hire都得至少是associate。
也还是那个道理，一般人家不愿意多发工资。
这么说吧，在公立和一些私立，凡是要人家直接给你或你ld发工资的都很难，任何其他
名头给的钱都会相对容易。要知道这个是有财务上的考虑的，公立学校的工资额度审批
非常严格，因为如果工资过多下一年财报的时候在州议会反对派会说你中饱私囊。而研
究经费（暑假工资可以视为研究经费）则属于另一个category，比较师出有名。你的明
白？

题，可以问问，但不要太push. 不要给人一种不给就不来的印象就好了。强调是为了更
好的工作。如果对方不能提供 tenure track，问问有没有什么其他可能。比如短期的
visiting professor.
另外，如果这次没有成功，不代表以后没机会。这个要看你和你老公以后的表现。比如
他在别处拿个 offer , 或者你骑驴找马找到了，都还有机会。
