后来ibm觉悟过来，哦，这样搞不行了
要做service服务，amazon把这个service给发展成了web service
当然最早web service这个概念不是amazon提出来的
是ibm和微软提出来的，但是最后发扬光大的却是amazon
就跟sun搞出了java，最后用java拼命赚钱的却是ibm一样
这种墙内开花，墙外香的事例在挨踢行当还真不少见
所谓的service就是通过提供软件以满足某一种需求为目的
并以满足需求为收费手段的一种服务，客户不再需要知道什么是软件
只需要知道丫提供啥服务就行了，web service在这个概念上强化了web的概念
也就是允许通过web找到服务并enjoy这个服务，然后给钱
这种方式显然代表了整个挨踢将来的发展方向
人类社会迟早要走上web这条路，这是信息革命的必经之路
有时候我都在想，为什么概念的提出者
往往不是概念实现后的最大获益方呢？

我在加州，去香港的可以享受extended cut off.有一次Fedex Office的小二不知道
把route label换成W开头的，结果driver看到X开头的不打算pick up.还好我一番苦苦
教育，小二问了几个人之后才把X开头的route label打印出来。幸免不被pick up的灾
难。从此以后我全部去World Service Center drop off.那里小二个个业务精通，看
route label都能告诉你在哪里中转，几天到。
2.Fedex World Service Center比Fedex Office有更宽松的cut off
一般express的cut off 时间起码比Fedex Office延长半小时，靠近机场的甚至晚一
个半到两小时。
3.Fedex World Service Center比Fedex Office不容易丢包裹
drop off的包裹都直接被送到里面分拣仓库装车，不存在被Fedex Office小二胡乱丢

我现在的情况是：ASP.NET网页与DATABASE连接，windows service application也与
DATABASE连接，通过ASP.NET更新了DATABASE后，若要更新windows service
application，就要重新启动service。这样很麻烦，我想能不能有什么办法，通过ASP.
NET直接call service application的一个function，来更新，而不用重新启动service
（重新启动会重新执行SQL语句实现更新）。
我查了下WCF貌似可以实现，不过好像很麻烦的样子。
有没有更好的方法呢？谢谢！ |

我这边dealer说的现在都是cbs 所以只看你车电脑显示除非你到一年了还没开到所要求
的mileage due 那么如果你开了15k但是没到一年cbs显示你还有xxxmiles才做service
那么这种情况下dealer不会给你free service因为bmw不报 但是如果你开满一年就算
mileage未到cbs的due dealer会给你做free的service这个叫做anual service但是不会
reset你的cbs xomputer 那么你继续开到当你cbs提示你due了dealer又会给你做一次
free的service并且reset你的computer哪怕你anual service做完才很短时间
bmw现在就是这么干的 如果你是买的非lease的我建议每六个月自己换一次油或者每7.

EIN).所以我的H1B是以所在公司A办的. 但8月份以后,公司A将payroll tax service外
包到另一家公司B, 一 payroll tax service provider or Employee Leasing
Services provider.现在我的paycheck和W2都是从公司B出.
要办PERM了,律师说这个问题很棘手,因为我如果算公司A的员工,但我的paycheck和W2都
在公司B的名下; 如果算公司B的员工,我的H1B又在公司A名下,不一致.律师说有可能像
我这样的case都办不了......

做了，因为我一直查不到网上的状态。结果昨天打给tier 2 io, 她质问我为什么这么
早就做service request? 原因是once a service request has been put, your case
will be held until a month later. 我到现在也没有收到service request 的
response. 也就是说8月14号我的case 才能被resumed. 今天又打电话问tier 1 rep,
回答也是一样。后悔莫及，如果要做service request 的要慎重。 |

我觉得Grid Computing就是常说的Spatial Computing. 简单说就是GIS系统。由於文本数
据库管理系统已逐步向图像化地理化的管理系统过渡 - 80%的数据其实都是可以有几何信
息的。Computational Geometry是专门研究这些问题的。 |

simpler. It also has OUT, INOUT parameter. RPC web serivces can be used by
.NET
I have to modify EJB web services to RPC web services.
What is advantage of EJB web services? Thanks |

why use services? I guess it is not about how cool it is doing a app on
iphone to connect whatever thing with http, but it is about code reuse and
loose couple.
Making component services, web services just mean it is on http, the you can
orchestra all your component together with ESB/ BPEL/ BPMN. In case one
component become obsolete, you can replace that with a new one, all others

deploy, you write up your own server, very simple. client side you can use
java or jquery, or rest shell.
but implementing one restful webservice is too simple, it is kind of
irrelevant with understanding web services, either restful or soap. as
bigcow said above.
doing restful services is very different with design rest api, you can do it
, doesn't mean you can design it.
