These figures should include funding part.
To answer the other questions, there is no significant differences between
private and public school. The differences are usually in the components
(institution v.s. self funding) of the salary. BTW, faculty's salary in
public schools are transparent and publicly available. |

districts that pay relatively high salary don't pay for teachers' medical

get your 401K (traditional IRA), and perhaps consider to buy some Roth IRA
fund every year.
In addition, it is my understanding that the salary ranges for different
levels with consulting firms are approximately like these belows:
EIT $45K - $60K
Engineer $60K - $80K
Senior Engineer $80 - $100K
Principle $100 - $140K with bonus
VP $140 - $200K with stocks
In China, I assume the salary RMB 3000 could not have a vehicle.

,just add 4 more years experience.
Besides, don't let them know your range, he who talks about the moeny first
loses, you know what I mean, right? When they send you the offer letter,
negotiate with the money by around 10%. It never hurts if you negotiate. Most
company will leave a room for you to negotiate. If they don't agree, generally
they will also off |

recruiter said the salary I asked for (100K) is way above the budget the
hiring manager has right now. He ends up offering the other guy with 85K.
My question: 100K is too high for a person with one year experience in
industry + Phd
I will call the hiring manager tomorrow to see what he thinks if I can lower
the salary to 90K.

Some hospitals may consider your experience if you had medical degree in
China even if you are a new grad in US. But all hospitals. I started as a
new grad in GA, was paid as others because the manager said she did not have
authority to override the new grad salary.
When I moved in Dallas, the manager counted my medical experience even my
