feel very depressed these days.
Haven't talked about this issue with my boss..
My case is: fresh MS w/no experience, entry level staff engineer, working
for a small environmental consulting firm in NJ. 46k/year.
I just wanted to know how much you guys were offered for the 1st year... and
for applying for H1B |

发帖数: 1038 | 4 what's the prevailing salary for your job title in your area? I think you
may get it from the DOL. Rule of thumb is that your salary be no less than
the 95% od the prevailing salary. I think you need to ask your attorney to
try different title for your job.

发帖数: 1038 | 5 Smaill consulting firm does not have legal team to take care of your H-1B or
GC application. They may ask you to hire an attorney for H-1B or GC
applications, and later your legal fee will be reimbursed.

STEP 4: PREVAILING WAGE，上面有查工资的链接
如果用劳工部的online database，你的好像是不够，主要是NJ工资都太高了，换个
title试试，同时向NJ州的state force request一份他们的PREVAILING WAGE(写工作要
求的时候写的稍微低一点），州里的数据大多数时候会比FLC Wage要低一点。
