因为很长时间没有锻炼了,以前有跑步的习惯,但每次没超过5k,那是两年前;
终于今年九月份决定去跑了,谁知一跑步可收拾,一周3-4次,一周跑20mile左右;十月
份也这样跑了三
周,以为要来例假了,就主动休息了一下,谁料想一等7天都没来,比较担心,会不是
long run导致
的?如果是该怎么调整,我已经两周没跑步了,很想跑不敢了。
很希望有经验的大姐们指点一下小妹,谢谢!
声明:本人不是减肥中,因为不肥;本人未婚,目前没有男朋友也没有性伴侣。身体也
没有什么不舒
服,以往例假很规律。

Started my running and weigh loss plan since 9-16. Have been trying to run
at least 3 times per week in the past 4 weeks. One months ago, I could only
run 2.5 miles and felt so tired. But this morning I finished 3.5 miles in
40mins, feeling that I could keep running for another 3 miles!
Running sure changed my life. I have never been so energetic in the past 5
years!! I haven't really lost much weight though. Guess I need to work more
on my diet now.

这些年来, AU Football的标签从来都很明确: Great Defense, Powerful Run.
80年代是,90年代是,2000年以来大部分时间也是。
现在不是了。自Kenny Iron离开后,这几年AU的Running Game只能勉强算是Average。
其实,AU现在的几个RB还是依然不错,差别更在教练和OL。在我看来OT的Marcus
McNeil等一干不错的OL的离开其实是对Running game更大的打击。AU也一直没有找到一
个很好的Tackle, King 是个Bust, Zambia还是有些毛糙。
可我们是奥本,从来不怀疑过AU的Running.直到Tony Franklin来了。
我受够了TF的永远的Shotgun formation。
没有Full back, AU 最好的Blocking TE Gabe McKenzie他也看不上,把Mckenzie送给
了Defense,放在Defense End的位置。
一个去年还不错的OL,慢慢的似乎不会为RB开路了。
前3场的Running从来是RB left or right.从来没有Downhil

Tempo runs are a popular training run. I often overhear runners commenting
on their “tempo” workouts. However, the more I listen, the more I hear how
misused, misunderstood or misapplied this training workout is by runners
and triathletes. Any of these comments sound familiar?

running log, my first day of running had high and low. Being able to run
6mi at the very beginning was benefited from my actively participating in

其实我现在一周跑两次,周里程也快20miles了。:)我不是很确定这样对练5K是不是
够了。又或者应该be more specific,把Long Run改成Tempo,速度再快一点。我发觉
现在跑了一个月以后,坚持下来半小时不是太难,但是速度还是不行。
至于Cross Training,我知道那书里专门说了力量练习不能算。:)不过我也不是完全
照书来的人。主要也是现在的目标不是马拉松。如果真的准备练马拉松,也许我会买个
车在家练。FIRST强调Cross Training而不是Easy Run的理由是可以用到不同的肌肉,
让跑步的肌肉骨头什么的多休息,这样另外三次Key Run的强度能大一点。说实话,我
现在一周要想多于两次也不大可能,每次到该跑的时候也就刚恢复过来。

15分钟warm up,10*400,10分钟cool down,总共要跑差不多6迈,tempo要跑8迈,

When I try to run according the plan generated by smart coach (based on my
self-measured 5K time), all kinds of runs are based on the pace and mileage.
While during my long run, during which I feel not hard at all, the heart
rate (count mannuallly) is 10~15 percent higher than the recommend heart
range, which makes me feel nervous as I just come back from injury (which
caused by faster long run when I just run randomly).

其实,本来的计划是16迈,结果受305没电的影响,跑成了19迈,历时2h57m,pace 9:

此前原来跑过1个10分的15迈和1个9分的16迈long run,其他大部分都是13迈左右的。
周六看了一下本周里程已经跑到24迈,心想只要16迈就能凑成40迈,也算周里程上过40
迈了。以前的所谓long run,基本上在外面兜一圈6-8迈,然后回家喝水,然后再来一
圈,这样省得带水。由于中间跑的比较累,回家喝水,趁机磨磨蹭蹭,大概要耽误5分
钟。心想这次试试不回家,跑个完整的long run,于是路线突破以前的柳园河边土路,
可以延伸到脚趾灌木丛公园。
新路线,而且不带水,因此头一天,做了详尽的准备。网上查询了到达4迈、8迈的位置
,4迈出有个加油站,可以在回程的12迈时买水喝。8迈正好在脚趾灌木丛公园卫星地图
上一个看起来比较明显的地方。
网上asura指点之前long run的pace太快(最快14迈8:19,13迈8:47),同时看到
Schist,gzyxy训练受伤,于是坦然决定调整到9分半。long run通常在下午,改成早晨

long run 的pace 总是和 easy run 一样,是否偏快导致受伤?
能否把easy run 快上几秒,而把long run 慢上几秒,或者直接把long run pace 根据
macmillan 表格调慢一点?

a summary for today's long run:
7 runners showed up! hehe, that's fun to run with fellow runners. Cole,
Winndixie, ekiden, LaoNiuGe, baff, Jimh and me.
after about 3/4 mile warm up run, everyone is there, so we start our
adventure to the loop we originally planned to run. The trail is soft and
nice, but one big problem is too many bugs along the trail and part of the
trails smells really bad. it seems not many runners running on these trails.

80%maxHR or 80%HR reserve?
my recovery runs are under 70% maxHR, or 62% HR reserve.
most part of my general aerobic runs, medium long runs and long runs are
under 80% max HR, or 74% HR reserve.
Marathon pace runs are around 85% max HR or 80% HR reserve.

去年练过一些speed session,因为没有大量的recovery run,练得一身伤病,脚踝膝
盖hip无一不痛,而速度其实没提高多少。
今年就follow AM的plan,中间间隔跑一些3K、2.5M的race,同时注意自己的running
form,做一些running form drills,也注意摆臂等等。我觉得主要的提高是由于long
run而提高的running economy,因为今年一年都没练过interval。
由此也证明了,没有distance的保证,光练interval,就是我以前做的,事倍功半。反
之则事半功倍。

advice on injury recovery, I go to
letsrun.com, I don't want to hear about any doctor telling me "no running
for two weeks" or BS like that. In my
9 years of running, the only time I was out for two weeks was when I

Got a little tempo this afternoon on treadmill, run 2miles in 8:00min/mile
pace, and 1mile in 7:47min/mile pace. With two miles warm up and cool
down respectively, I got a total 7mile good run.
The fact is, before today, I'd never run a single mile sub 10min, in
either long or recovery runs. The only speed work I ever tried
previously, only once, was 800m intervals, and with full effort, I could
only run 3:45min for 800 ms, which means my heart almost got out of my
teeth after that trial.

maybe run some race pace miles for half marathon case.
definitely some miles at race pace are needed in long run. Then again, the
first time you run 20 miles long run, just finish at the pace that you can
finish, later you can afford to run it with some race pace miles.

Normally, I would breathe with mouth open for sure. Breathing with mouth
closed is my way of forcing myself to run at a slower pace than I would if I
just let myself go. In an easy run, I would typically do 4/4 with mouth
open or "half open". For recovery runs, I sometimes breathe as slow as 5/5,
mostly 4/4 with mouth closed. In a tempo run, I would breathe 3/3 to 2/2.
There are still different ways to do, say, 2/2. In a tempo run I would

At Monday health screen, I see my blood pressure is still at high
(Prehypertension) range. Then I started monitoring blood pressure
before and after runnings this week.
I did three medium long runs on Monday (10mile), Tuesday (9mile) and
today, Thursday (12mile).
I have seen a pattern that each time 2 hours after the medium long
run, systolic (high pressure) drops by 15-20mmHg, diastolic (low
pressure) drops by 5-10mmHg. Only after long runs, my blood
pressure are back to Normal range.

From running itself, it will almost be identical if they are general aerobic
runs. Easy runs, probably still close to each other, depending on your
training schedule.
Tempo runs, definitely 6 mile is better.

The biggest change in my training this fall has been that I really slowed
down when I needed to. My target marathon pace is between 6:50 and 7:00. In
long runs, I could be running anywhere between 8:40 and 6:40 pace. For most
part, my long run pace is between 7:10 and 7:50. On certain days I would try
to run fast. Other days I make sure that I run slowly enough.

I don't know if the article is online. I read it from the magazine. The guy
is a seasoned marathoner and ran 2:39 when he was 31 yrs old. He's tried
different things, including doing long runs as long as 30 miles. Then he was
coached by the Hansons to run only 16 miles in the long runs -- but the
training is such that, those 16 miles are supposed to be the LAST 16 miles
of a marathon, not the first 16 miles. Naturally, there is a lot of speed

My plan is to do 2-3 tempo & intervals, one 10-16 mile run at moderate pace,
and one very slow ultra run, each week. Basically, I want to run everyday,
I want to run either fast or long each time. I enjoy pushing myself each
time I head out of the door. I really don't enjoy half-assed effort easy or
mid long runs.

No, tempo run isn't always a hard workout for me -- it's comfortably hard -- I'd say hard workouts are not comfortable.:) Tempo run is not racing, just pushing a little bit. It's the combination of speed and distance at the same time that is dangerous. If I only do the shorter runs fast, or longer runs slow, it's less of a problem. For example, earlier in the spring, I was doing something like 25-30mpw and would end up averaging 6:40 pace in my workouts throughout the week -- not a problem at al... 阅读全帖

Just read it in bookstore. (It's in the January issue, not available online
yet.)
I think it's remarkably similar to F.I.R.S.T. if you swap the easy/recovery
runs with triathlete's cross trainings. FIRST only has two 20-miles long
runs. But the pace the two plans require for speed, tempo & long runs are
very similar. They are all so-called "quality" runs.

you need more practice :)
I run a 5 mile group run on Friday, which I usually run it as at my tempo
pace. It will be nicer to run tempo longer and longer, but the group run
will not change the distance anyway.
Tempo would help in any means, and 5 mile is just a good tempo distance.
