博得恩 (William W. Borden)

博得恩没有机会去中国，但他的遗产中的一部分，在中国建立了一个医院。
身为博得恩乳品企业（Borden Dairy）的继承人，当1904年，博得恩（William W.
Borden）在芝加哥的高中毕业时，他已是身价百万的富豪了。他的父母给他的毕业礼物
是环游世界。他去了亚洲、中东和欧洲。他见到许多苦难中的人，心里有很沉重的负担
。他写信回家说∶“我愿意预备自己，献身宣教工场。”
下了这个决定之後，博得恩在自己圣经的背後，写下了“没有保留”（No Reserves）
这几个字。
博得恩在1905年进入康州的耶鲁大学。外表看来，他与一般的大学新生并无两样。但很
快地，同学就发现他与众不同。有一位同学如此写道∶“他在大学中显出的灵性远超众
人！他的身心已经完全献给基督。同学们发现他坚定如磐石，非常可靠。其实全因他已
立下生命的目标，并且分别为圣！”

按照佛法讲，“心”“识”的定义是“能缘”，具有指向，观察“所缘”的作用。他依
附于“心所依处”位置在心脏的血液里。由“安般息念”和“慈心念”来练止禅，其目

to try to shut the five bases (eye, ear, nose, tongue, body) in order to
observe the mind.
Practice continuously is a way to move forward a little bit continuously or
simply maintaining what achieved in the intense meditation retreat. Talking

都在变，可以在网页上查到。
至于其他实验室内部的奖金，据我所知一般是没有，当然也听说有额外发钱的，特别是
自己能拿到grands的。
所谓房补就是你可以用2000刀/M左右（零头取决于电费）租到市面上2500刀/M的1br，
当然由于租的人太多，你得排期至少6个月。
RU,MSK，WCMS,HSS这几个地方的很多人都住在500和504 E 63 ST这两栋楼里。
你说的这个太夸张了，我也住在上东，一个月1200，one bedroom
回家翻了半天，总算找到了这个价单，这是我们楼是09～10年间的租价：

2br, 2409~2441$
3br, 3015~3044$
这是前年的价格，现在又涨了2次了，再加上水电煤气，我说大概2000刀/M，这有错？

”的系里呆过两年，去过retreat几次。也颇有一些猛料。比如有女生当众脱了光光 （
至少有10 个教授在场），还有一次警察都介入了。可惜两次我都不在场，未能目睹盛
况。一次是台湾小师妹拉我去海边散步（其实她也是半醉）。另一次是几个师姐把我喊
去打麻将。

Military Tribunal for the Far East Judgment）网上居然有英语全文，那可是1500
页的文件啊。
我从不知道，这么重要的第二次世界大战的文件，网上居然可以轻易找到！国内媒体好
像从来没有宣传过这件事。我查了国家图书馆的数据库，发现这个文件很可能没有出版
过中译本。我不知道台湾是否出过中译本，当年南京政府应该有中文版的。
我对这个事情很不理解。
这是第一手的历史原件，历史价值就不用说了，对于爱国主义教育和揭露日本军国主义
的罪行，都有巨大的价值。可是，为什么大家都不知道呢？这是公共领域的材料，没有

发帖数: 70028 | 39 今年5月20日，英国星期天《泰晤士报》刊登评论员文章，对中国在英国举办孔子学院充满敌对态度。该文章引用伦敦政治经济学院著名政治和外交学教授Christopher Hughes对孔子学院的强硬和冷战的言辞（见附件2， 英文原文）， 在英国引起一场不小的震动。
5月24日，美国国务院以签证为由，要求孔子学院中国教师限期离境,引起全美数十家孔子学院，以及和孔子学院合作的大学，一片哗然。
把这两件事情连系起来，不难看出，中国利用孔子学院向全球传播文化和语言，被西方一些右翼分子，当成是中国政府宣传软实力的工具。
作为英方的孔子学院院长，我对这个问题，也是感到非常困惑和震惊。
为什么，中国政府诚心诚意地花钱推广中国的文化和语言，会遇到如此想不到的打击和阻碍？中国政府应该如何对付这样的打击？如何应对今后更加意想不到的困难？
本人认为，中国政府应该做好如下工作：
其一，保持冷静的态度，认真研究对方各种持不同观点和态度的人群，采取有效措施，争取亲华力量，尽量化解冷战思维人士的冷战态度。

金荣范称，朝鲜戰爭中，以朝鲜方面存在确凿的屠殺平民的行為；朝鲜也指责以美军为
首的联合国军有屠杀平民的行为。最著名的为老根里事件。[80]中国人民志愿军是四方
中唯一没有被指责屠杀平民的军队。
美軍方面，目前已經公開的美軍屠殺平民行為有老根里事件，由於擔心朝鮮情報人員及
破壞分子混入南逃难民，因此美軍第七騎兵團士兵接受命令蓄意射殺平民達四百余人，
