great lens as opposed to the 14-42 junk that is in most bundles. The camera
takes amazing video. In low light it is practically night vision
particularly when paired with the 20mm pancake. The cheapest I had seen it
before is $1000 at Samy's but that was only BM for those in Cali and you had
to pay tax.

这个测试彻底改变了我对resolution（MTF 30lines/mm or MTF50）的认识
16mm端的16－35的resolution明显的好于XBIS，在各个光圈都是如此。换句话说
结论居然是广角的resolution好于telephoto lens！ 这一点其实是与photozone.de的
测试结果完全相符的！（photozone.de上16－35 at 16mm center的数据就大大高于
XBIS 200mm center的数据）
换句话说，所有微距头的resolution也并不高，之所以觉得很高，是因为他们展示
了很多平常肉眼看不到的细节。这是给人的一种错觉。
按照photozone.de的数据。50mm/1.4 center在2。8左右会有更高的resolution表现
这一点我以后有时间会进行自己的测试验证。
如果最后真的如此，那么对于比较大的花花草草，完全应该使用50mm/1.4裸着or配合
extension tube去拍 |

从PRC国庆到US鬼节
1989年10月1日前夕，上海市府举办招待酒会，庆祝PRC 建国40周年。来宾中有美
国驻上海总领事。原上海复旦大学校长谢希德，在招待酒会上主动问美国总领事“我们
要作甚麽事，才能解决方励之问题？”。大使立即将谢的举动转告我们。
我们判断:“这是邓小平发出的信号，中共想要解决问题了。” 大使也持同样看法。
谢希德的学术身份，是一位物理学教授，专长于点群空间群在固体物理中的应用。
谢的政治身份，是中共中央委员。谢是从美国回归者。八十年代，她每年至少到美国一
次，代表中国物理学会参加美国物理学会年会。谢认识李和我。早在1950年代后期，谢
一度从上海来北大物理系工作，协助黄昆建立半导体研究班子，直到这时，谢才入党。
当时李淑娴也在黄昆的班子中，是一位援华的苏联半导体副教授的专业翻译。谢行事极
为谨慎，作风更像虔诚基督徒。谢不会自作主张向美国总领事询问“方励之问题”，一
定是高层授意的。

我刚搬到一个新的城市，于是在walmart网站上买过不少家具之类的东西。查账的时候
，突然发现walmart帐号里有两单iTune e-giftcard 的order, 不是我下的。一单被
walmart cancel掉，第二单成功，而且居然发了e-gift card到我的电子邮箱里！
我跟信用卡公司申诉，今天收到结果说，walmart提供了购买信息，以及已经把e-gift
