agree, impact is the soul of golf swing. you can try rehearse a bit of
impact, using very small swings --- 1 inch move your hands, several foot
move of the club head. back and forth at impact position to feel the lag
and release and forarm roll....
medson: i had similiar problem with left knee collapse to right during
backswing, one guy at golf show told me to "lock" (kind of) left knee
position, left knee more going to the driection your face point, rather than
going too much to right.

you already fixed flipping? last time your swing video look very nice.
here are some i tried to correct flipping,
one big sign of "flip" and "no lag" is back of left wrist break during
impact.... so if consciously firm up left wrist at impact, and rehearse
timing 后发力, keep hands ahead of ball at impact.... that would help....
also left hands leading, don't let right hand over power the left hand...
there are ruler tied to left hand back drills (no very effective to me),
impact bag drills....

a highhander like you even feel this way about golf swing.
golf swing is such an unnatural movement.
but do you have to go-to swing thought or routine to correct ball flight?
yesterday early morning play, finnally i was able to correct slice and hit
straight drive at some holes. i have to think about it, and rehearse for a
min before i pull the trigger.
for me, the main things i work on are:
shoulder turn, downswing swing path, and keep head still and spine angle

last time play, i was amazed by the roll distance of your driver... one hole
almost roll 50 yards
how to ensure hitting down? beside set up, clear hips first and shift weight
to left feet... that's what i think of hitting down. of course rehearse a
little to check where the low point is.... what did your teach say about
this?

4 balls within 1 min and shoot in 70s, and i know you don't rehearse shot, you must have established a smooth
and comfortable swing pattern, just as comfortable as your walking and
running. I am guessing this could be the key to shoot single digit handicap...
most people feel very comfortable walk and run, but not the same level of
comfortable/natural to swing...
once i played Wii Fit driving range with a friend.

my swing does not get any better than yesterday (even i had enough sleep and
feel not tired as yesterday)
when swing is bad, equipment upgrade is meaningless.
high end shaft and club design is helpless.
even i try to enforce some pre-shot and rehearse, simply i could not swing
according to the rhythm which was working great 7 days ago. concentrate is
lacking as well, even i do pre-shot routine, i am not paying much attention.
frustrated with the idea of losing a good swing.

恢复挥杆
有两个多月没碰球甘。
重回range第一次球都打不起来了。 1/7 蒙中一个, 距离也不如去年长。
然后每周去range 2-3 次, 3-4周下来基本上恢复了。
今天在range上的感觉很好, 恢复了ball striking power, 可能比去年还要稍远一些。在开动火力的情况上hit solid 的% 也高一些。
high fly 8iron 落点过175 flag. 那感觉像是箭上足了工, 身体弹簧的感觉很明显。
似乎能fix 去年一直不能fix 的 weak low hook tendancy 的问题了。
主要是对以下几点体会更深了(总结的有一点罗嗦):
1)"one piece" take away
2) impact position, left wrist position at impact。 impact 时club 和arm
fully extend/release. 虽然impact position 是动态过程, 但是一定程度还是可以

沙坑 不能club 碰砂, 不好做 preshot rehearse. 但是花点时间一边练一边琢磨
bunker skills. 提高比driver 290容易多了。
没多少人能driver 290吧, 你这能drive 很多par4 green了吧。

我体会"继续努力" 不全是继续提高突破, 很大一部分是 离谱球的控制的能力。 保持
连续good & ok shot的能力 any day, any time。
昨天下午计划去打9洞。 但是球场tee time比较拥挤。 就只去了range.
结果幸好没上场。
driver 打的很差。很多nadal 的那种网球top spin, carry 150 多。 后来iron 也打
不好。
不服, 勉强调整, 但是每个球之前这个check, 那个check, 在rehearse 好几下。 觉
得挺麻烦的。 也不能swing free. 距离出不来。准确也不行。
前天还较好, 又有打出270多米, good drive % 也较高,hybrid 也勉强 。 真么会
这么大波动?
哪怕我把我打得好的时候的tip 用上也不真么管用。
如果这样的状态上场, 估计先全部用pw, short iron 打, warm up, 感觉好了在
driver。否则double bogey each hole.

DVR注意了一下tiger& zach 打球的细节, 他们的pre shot routine 分两步:
“think box“ 和 ”play box” (sorenstam term)
think box: 确定target line, club selection, trajectory, 做几个practice swing
for warm up and review tempo&rhythm, rehearse 特定shot的打法 (stinger, cut
, draw, 3/4 swing, full swing)
play box: set up, address ball, feet 蠕动几下, 看目标最后一眼, 扣扳机。 如
果被干扰或感觉不好或风变化, 撤销退回"think box" 重来。 在play box 中时间短
, 一般不罗嗦。
模仿了一下, 效果不错。 一开杆driver 就基本 max out, 偏差10-20吗以内。6iron
也 max out, 10 yard off line. 以前总是要好几个实验球才能max out, 或则一场更

not only useful against wind, but also play through low hang tree branch out
of tree line. today used tried several knockdown low shots. i haven't
practized this kind of shot much yet, but just the idea of knockdown shot
and use kind of slow speed rehearse, already got some decent results.

今天准备rehearsal dinner的dress,把以前的衣服拽出来都试了一圈,都能穿了,哈
哈,好开心。不过胳膊腰背还得减,这周三就90天,虽说断断续续的,也算快毕业了。
11月1号开始新一轮p90x lean,准备更严格一点follow schedule,只替换cardio成arc
trainer,其他都照着做。

准备
SF这次可以说是认真负责,航海的行程安排,停泊和补给,都是他订好的,还做了一
个wiki,真是很专业的说。 他还专门去学了scuba diving,为了给他当diving buddy,
我也学的两个周末。
11/7号SF召集所有人开了个web conference。Alex自告奋勇搞定Puerto Rico的住宿
,我负责租车和diving gear。
出发 11/15
半夜10:45的飞机,我和SF照例提前一个半小时赶到SeaTac。SF那天坚持要吃汉堡
,后来才知道那天是他生日。习惯了coast-to- coast 的redeye,飞机还没离地我就睡
的直冒泡泡了。到Charlotte 转机的时候,是东部时间凌晨6点。Layover 两小时,我
们在机场吃了Mexican早饭,也可以算是rehearsal了。

I don't get that from the outside article, maybe there is some context i am
missing: is it untouchable because it's a special natural wonder? then El
Cap and many other rocks fit into the category too.
i think the damage is particularly significant because the rock is extremely
soft and delicate, one of potter's friend was first a supporter than a
strong critic after it is believed that potter used top rope to rehearsal
the climb thus left rope mark near top of the rock.

以我愚见,这不是真的比赛。胜负早就定了。
实时积分运动方程?机器没那么快吧?质心3个坐标3个动量共6个线量,旋转3个欧拉角
3个角动量共6个角量。一共12个广义坐标。这还是刚体。
还有空气,击球时球的形变,回球时的优化(对对方2次回球的判断)。我觉得机器和
BOLL在赛前要预演好多次(REHEARSAL),才有悬念的商业价值。

昨天恢复跑步,状态尚可,5mile无伤痛感觉。 今天8mile 7:30 pace也很正常。
taper顺利进行中。
周日去跑shamrock'n half 作为race rehearsal.

今天 dress rehearsal, 感觉我的 hamstring 还是麻烦制造者,虽然没有明确的迹象
,但是有隐隐的感觉,如果不是仅仅 2迈 MP,而是 26.2迈,估计迟早会受伤,就是看
看能否坚持了。

Dress rehearsal回来了,两迈7:15左右,两迈7:00左右,顺逆风都试过了。
到时候就看心跳跑吧,前13迈控制在163以下,13-21迈在170以下,过了21迈就all-out
了。

I have tapered a lot, actually. Last weekend I cut a planned 15 miler into
12.7 miles, because I felt that my legs weren't as fresh as they should be.
In fact, the back-to-back mid-long runs following the 20-miler was a little
tough on me, so after that I'm cutting the intensity of my workouts quite a
bit. Today I did a recovery run with strides. Tomorrow I'll do a "dress
rehearsal", 7 miles with 2 miles at marathon pace. Then two more days of
easy runs and I'll be ready to go.

最后一周0迈也不太好吧,am上是3个recovery和一个rehearsal with 2 miles pace
run。
如果不是严重的伤, 10:00 to 10:30 pace 的 recovery应该利大于弊,完了后还可以
stretch一下。次数长短可以按你的身体感受调整。
要是itbs症状比赛时该停就要停,弄严重了一月份比赛就泡汤了。
0度还是很冷的,特别对我们南方的来说。你就上长衣长裤手套线帽吧,要嫌线帽太累
赘,至少要有罩耳朵的。天冷,同pace时你心率会现在低不少,前半程不要push太狠。

这次CIM真是一次难忘的经历。从八月2号到12月5号,整整4个月的时间,18周的训练,
到了检验训练结果的时候,不能不说有一点紧张,尤其是最后3周的训练和状态不尽人
意,心里确实没底。先说一下结果, chip time 3:42:04, 10K 46分多一点,半程1
:45, 20迈差不多是2:43, 最后10k用了差不多1小时。成绩比去年CIM快了21分钟,
也是我的第二次全马,目前的PR。
赛前对自己的估计是3:40分,应该说是挺准的,但是比赛的时候又有点冒进。前面半
程差不多是8分钟多一点的速度,跑了5,6迈右边膝盖就有些不太舒服,所以就调整姿
势,尽量左腿来吃力,导致后面20麦以后左腿比右腿更弱,这是后话,暂且不提。先说
说训练,18周的计划,应该说是跟的比较好的,尤其是前两个月,基本找计划来训练,
10月份的半马跑了1:43, 感觉也不累,不能不说是计划的功劳。计划的后半部基本上
也没有什么差错,就是最后的几周,到了比赛准备周期,几次热身的比赛再加上隔日的
长距离,感觉身体有些吃不消,硬撑下来,状态却是越来越差。第一次的8麦热身59分

I came back to TX in August. Even I have lived here for about 5 years, it
took me a while to get used to the summer weather. When I decided to run CIM
, my training time was shorter than 18 weeks while longer than 12 weeks. I
decided to continue my easy run and then started the 12 week Advanced
Marathon training.
Although I targeted on 3:40:00, I had many difficulties through the program,
especially the Marathon pace run and the earlier workout.

today i ran my 10k race as a marathon dress rehearsal, planned to run the
first two miles 7:10, 7:00, then down to 6:50.
Ended up: 6:57, 7:04, 6:39, 6:51, 6:45, 6:46, 5:07(0.21mi finish).
Need to slow down more in mile 1 and mile 3, they should feel very easy on
race day.

最后两周里面,倒数第二周,一个 15x 300米repeat,100米jogging,还有一个6x 800
米repeat,400米jogging,都是90%到95%。 今天我跑了15x300米,靠,硬是完全没有
办法push到90%-95%,我也太弱了。
下面的800米,更加困难了,如果push到effort level,估计完成不了
倒数第一周,一个 3 x 200 @ 85-90% with 200 jog recovery / 400 jog / 3 x 800
@ 85% with 400 jog recovery, 这个还勉强。
整个计划里面,貌似除了tapering,都没有一周两个track workout的
回忆我以前的tapering,都是大大降低mileage,同时也降低了质量,也就是一个dress
rehearsal有点速度。
看来,tapering还是不完全是放轻松。
