这应该是radon 超标吧？是不是只要radon remediation 之后不超标，就没问题了呢，
还是这种房子尽量别碰？

我们家的房子有个 Walk-Out Basement, 现在打算装修。为了心里踏实，做了一下
Radon Test, 今天结果出来了，结果超标了。Radon 的安全线是 4 PCi/L, 我们的
是 9.2 PCi/L。原来以为有 Walk-out，问题不大，现在看来我们也需要 Fix 一下了。
大家有房有地下室的，还是做一下 Radon Test 吧。 Radon Test 也可以自己买 Test
Kit，也就 15 块。大家可以在下面这个政府网站找到 Self test kit info.

话说这个radon吧，我遇到的人都跟我说radon跟某个specific house没太大关系，
跟整个地区关系倒是很大。如果你这片区域radon都偏高，你的房子也没跑的，如果你
要是想finish basement, 一定需要装一个aggressive的radon mitigation
system, $1000左右是可以搞定。

发帖数: 55 | 38 最近在买房，对于Radon的问题好好研究了一下。一般来讲地下室不作为living space
的房子这个不是很重要，除非测出的数值很高，因为每上升一层，数值降低一半或三分
之一。平时生活和睡觉的地方还是要保证安全的。还有一个就是大部分人买房在春夏，
这是测出的数值是最低的，冬天的时候因为室内不通风和供暖的原因，Radon有可能大
幅上升。所以地下室如果作为生活空间，尤其是有小孩子的家庭还是应给考虑冬季测量
的。
具体的Radon Inspection很简单，我就不多说了。在做Home Inspection的时候顺便要
一个就行，收费从80到150不等（麻州），用的设备也差不多，在地下室里放2-3天，送
去化验当天出结果。另外如果已经是自己的房子了，找所在州的Radon office自己作，
应该20-40块就够了。强烈建议在买房之前作，这样如果有问题可以和卖方协商
mitigation系统的安装费用。
具体Radon是什么东西，wiki一下就有了。说白了就是无色无味的气体，和土壤接触的
地方比如地下室会有。衰变后会附着在空气浮尘中，数值高会引发肺癌。这个和地理位
置有关，比如麻州就很高 |

我们这里的屋子都是有地下室，测Radon都是去Homedepot买个kits，然后地下室里放三
天，在寄走。到时在网上就可以查结果了。
不知道你说的收集Radon是什么意思。
这里就是在地下室的地面上挖个洞，把一个PVC的管子插到洞里，把地面密封好。这个
PVC的管子一直通到屋顶外面。在PVC管子中间加个Radon Fan。
实际上就是把地下的Radon抽出来，在从屋顶上排出去。
波士顿的价钱，差不多是2000到3000刀，主要是看房子的结构和安装的难易。
你多问几家当地的公司总是没有错的。 |

最近在wellesley看中一个房子，面积不大，地下室一半装修了，未装修的一侧有一个
radon mitigation 系统，去年新装的。看了很多房子，头一次看到这个东西。回来查
了一下，发现middlesex区域地下radon的水平都比较高。
马上准备做房屋检查了，却有点犹豫。不知道是不是该买。有这个radon mitigation
系统是不是肯定说明地下radon水平比较高？即使有这个系统，是不是还是有危险？需
不需要专门再测一下？会不会影响以后再卖？

Radon level. That is from the ground under you, nothing you can do, unless
you move. If you happen to be in a high radon area, mitigation system is
very common, should not affect resale, unless you don't have one.

随手查了下，Rn222会衰变成半衰期22年的Pb210,最终产物是Pb206。所以Rn大部分时间
都是铅。
就算装了mitigation，排出来的Radon还不是照样沉降在房屋周围变成铅？
此外，屋子里面也会有一些Radon转化的铅吧？
家里有两岁的小孩，所以对铅非常敏感。
从来都没有听人提起过Radon引起的铅中毒，难道是因为Radon铅的浓度低？ |
