electronics area. I haven't visited the clearance end caps in a while since
they haven't produced anything worthwhile forever, but something told me I
should check just in case. Low and behold they had two smartpens on
clearance. The Lightscribe Echo 4GB originally $149.99 now $37.48 and the
Pulse 2GB originally $99.99 now $24.98, which are great deals.

你看到的49.9/50是当前的pulse，你点开每张照片把鼠标放在那个score上面就可以看
到他的历史最高pulse。而那个pulse才是真正有意义的数字。因为任何照片，即使曾经
到过99.9第一页第一张的照片，最终都会回到49/50。
本来打算之后写一篇500px算法解释的，你这么气急败坏的，我就稍微解释下。500px的
pulse只对你上传的24小时有效。24小时内能到多少分就意味着你照片的popular程度。
24小时一过，你的照片将会被系统自动扣分，而且扣的很多，我记得99.5+的照片第一
次扣完就直接掉到8X去了。一旦被扣分，你的照片就会掉到list很底下，也不会有多少
人关注了。也就是说24小时一过，这张照片的生命就基本结束了，很难再有点击率，之
后经过时间推移被一点点扣分，最后被回到4X-50分。
所以麻烦你点击下Editor Choice每张照片上的pulse，看看有多少张highest pulse低
于90分的。

应该是放慢QTOF scan 速度 (就是增加 duty cycle 时间）增加灵敏度，但是跟
resolution无关。
一个pulse的时间，比如5ns的pulse跟50us的flight time 都是不能改变，或者很难改
变。必须加高pulse的电压才能缩短飞行时间（或者把flight tube该短）。缩短飞
行时间才能增加pulse frequency。
能改变的就是每个cycle里面pulse的数量， 如果做100个pulse是5ms （100X0.05ms）
加上digitizting 时间（假设10ms， 我还没查到具体数据，在2ms到几十之间），这样
一个cycle是15ms
如果增加到400个pulse，一个cycle就是30ms.
每个cycle产生一张谱图，每个谱图是所有pulse信号的叠加。100个pulse的信号只有
400 个pulse的1/4. 如果pulse数继续增多，dwell time（简单看就是digitizing时间
）不会减少，但是占的比例就越来越少，说所以信号损失越来越少。

上传过20来张照片，从90出头一直到99.9的都有。所以对一张照片的分数是如何上升的
过程有了些理解。本来是想写的，后来觉得版上对这个题材有兴趣的人也不多，就不吃
力不讨好了。既然你有兴趣，简单说几句吧。
500px给自己的排名打分算法起名为pulse，这个名字真是再贴切不过。pulse算法的核
心有三个：
I 分数：由照片被like的绝对数量以及like/view的比例而决定的。
II 三层筛选：也就是500px discover那个页面中的fresh, upcoming以及popular
III 时间：上传24小时以后，任何照片的分数被大量削减。换句话说，一张照片“冲榜
”的时间只有24小时。
筛选的本质是一个简单的论坛心理学，既对于大部分时间有限的观者来说，只会关注任
何一个tab下的前几页照片，越靠前关注的人越多，也会有更多人like/fav；而越往后

50ms?
一个pulse的时间宽度是ns， 从离子被push开始到达detector 需要的飞行时间是0.05
ms level，
等飞行完了， 下一个pulse就可以又开始了，中间的不要等待。所以plus的频率是20k
Hz
另外如果检测范围增加，比如从0-1700Da 变成0-3200Da，所需的飞行时间变长，Plus
的频率必须降低。所以pulse的频率跟检测范围有关。
另外你的问题就变成了，为什么不把 pluse 时间宽度从ns变成us，这样灵敏度会增加
，但是TOF的resolution就变的很低。飞行时间质谱高分辨率是基于高精度的时间分辨
率。
另外一个spectrum是几百个pulse累加，不是一个pulse，所有pulse的数据会暂时存在
机器上，等完成了，digitize后传给电脑，这个时间大致需要几个甚至几十个ms （具
体我要查一下）。
增加每个spectrum里pulse的次数是增加灵敏度的有效方法，比如说一个spectrum从100
pulse变成200pulse，但是这个就需要更多的time，所以把仪器的scan speed 越慢灵

我当然读了，pulse 1.0就是个joke，以当地时间为依据判断受欢迎程度。
pulse 2.0我也看了，基本是还是以短期突发访问为主要依据，我不知道你口口声声所
说的“科学性”和“先进性”体现在何处。
另外这个和我的照片没关系，同样你不能因为你的pulse高就说这算法“科学”啊。
500px的pulse算法有问题还是你自己之前说的，我表示同意，并且用访问量相差百倍的
两张照片做了对比；现在你又要来打自己的脸，说这不是算法的原因。呵呵。。。。
说到底，你空口无凭回了这么多帖，能不能哪怕举一个例子来说明一下pulse的科学性
在哪？和flickr的interestingness算法比又先进在哪？
摄影师用什么网站，跟这个网站评价系统好坏没什么必然联系，500px之前smugsmug和
pbase都有大量职业摄影师在用。500px提供canvas销售才是吸引他们的主要原因。
另外，我觉得之所以500px以风光照为主，很大原因是因为这类具有色彩冲击力的照片
更容易在短时间内吸引用户眼球，属于pulse算法偏好的类型，这本身就能说明pulse算

pulse的时间当然需要很短，不然resolution就没了.pulse和飞行时间一样长就不叫
pulse了...如果飞行时间和pulse OFF 时间都是50 us，pulse时间是5 ns，意味着99.
99%时间里通过的离子都没有进入reflectron，跟QqQ比只有1/10000
当然Tof resolution是Q的10000倍
要增加Tof的sensitivity当然只能加快扫描速度降低dwell time来提高pulse ON 时间
占的比重(比如从5 ns/500us 到 5ns/50us)，因为单个pulse的时间不可能改变(这个对
于一个仪器应该是固定的), 这是你说的Tof加快扫描速度提高灵敏度的原因,当然同时
也损失resolution.
这应该是为什么没人用QTof做SRM的痕量检测的原因
我更想知道的是 QOrbitrap 的ON和OFF时间的比例.如果我的理解正确，c-trap收集离
子的时间基本也等于orbitrap扫描的时间和全部dwell time,这个时间越长而c-trap注

Flickr从来没公开过interestingness的算法，网上讨论很多，但从来没见过明确结论
，不清楚你是如何在对细节完全不清的基础上比较出“先进很多”的。flickr的
interestingness系统只是用来给照片排序，并不与照片的展示直接相关（基本上也只
有follow的人和share的group成员能看到）；但500px的upcoming和popular都是直接与
pulse的绝对值挂钩的，所以pulse受sns的影响远比flickr要严重的多。
相对值意义很大。像我前面举的例子，突发访问/总访问数/总faves/总likes/总
comments都高的照片（而且是高几十到上百倍），pulse反而低很多，这无论如何都是
说不过去的。
而且500px首页上upcoming的标准是70，popular是80，照片的展示和pulse的绝对值是
直接相关的。
这显然和你说的“与social无关”构成了矛盾。如果我有2000人follow和新手相比，上
传同样一张照片，短时间内访问数差别肯定很大。特别是你在白天/晚上不同时段上传

我基本上就传过很少的一些照片，当时500px的缩略图算法太烂，小图看着没法忍就放
弃了。
这是我觉得最不可思议的地方，flickr的interestness基本上还是和我对照片的评价一
致的，但500px上，很多时候随手拍的照片pulse反而更高，而且pulse和照片受欢迎程
度完全不成比例。当然还有一种可能性就是我用500px那会用户数量还很少，所以算法
统计的样本比较小。
