n*******e 发帖数: 2213 | 4 dude, can you name 10 better offensive players in 2001 in entire MLB
than a 30-year-old Thome, let alone AL, when Bonds hit 73 homers?
I just checked baseball reference, and I cannot. |

You don't define a player's career by one peaking year, otherwise Brady
Anderson will be in the HOF...
When comparing Thome with his peers in his era,for the players that I think
who are better or compatible to jim T...I have Arod, Albert belle. Chipper
Jones. Mike piazza. Manny. Carlos Delgado. Jeff Bagwell. Rafael Palmeiro,
Larry Walker, ken griffey jr, lance berkman, if you count some of the known
roid users, Jason Giambi, Miguel Tejada, Bonds, BigMac, Sosa... |

n*******e 发帖数: 2213 | 10 haha, I second AROD. What are you smkoing?
seriously, Thome had a brilliant career. He may very well
be on his way to Cooperstown. We were talking about whether
a GM will trade a 38 year old homerun king for
a 30 year old up and coming power hitter who makes millions
less. My point is of course somebody will do this.
And your point is?

b********n 发帖数: 4256 | 11 Hoho...what do you want me to say?
Your point is that trading Bonds at the age of 38 for Thome at the age of 30
, one on one, is a fair deal.
My point is that it's a ridiculous proposal and all the GMs will laugh at
you and hang up on you right away.
Talking about Bonds at the age of 38, without knowing that he was a steroids
user, Barry Bonds was considered the best player ever in the history of
baseball. At the age of 38, he had 45HRs, 90 RBI in 390AB, he hit one HR
every 8.6ABs. He had 148 wa |

Nats去年想签Mark Teixeira的时候,就曾给出了最大的contract offer,起码是180m/

不起钱。打开你的小脑瓜想想,who is the better player, Pojols or Tex?if the
Nats can spend big money on Tex, why can't they spend big money on the
better player, Pojols? |

b********n 发帖数: 4256 | 16 when Tor is good, the stadium is full. Tor is in a rebuilding process now,
plus their owner is rich, and they are willing to spend money...in the right
way.
also, you have revenue sharing from the rich teams, I will rather teams put
the revenue sharing money into the player's salary instead of their own
packets. |

let Doc go. Or give us any evidence of they are willing to spend.

b********n 发帖数: 4256 | 19 你真烦,我给你最后一次科普:
Doc is 32 going on 33.Tor is not going win with him so they let him go. Tor
is in a rebuilding process. As a matter of fact, Tor was spending money till
the last few years when they realized that they aren't going to win with
the current group of players.
i have heard many interviews from Tor GM and Tor newspaper writers and
reporters. you probably don't know that Tor is in AL east, the same division
with NYY and BOS. |

Nah, I was just fucking with him. |
|
b********n 发帖数: 4256 | 26 You see, your problem is that you pick and choose. You only choose the stat
that supports your point but not represents the real facts.
You chose the best year from Thome and the not so great year from Bonds, to
support your point that trading Bonds at 38 with Thome at 30 was a fair
trade. Maybe you forgot or you don't understand that Bonds hit one HR every
8.6ABs with an OPS of 1.278 that year.
You chose Doc's 33 now compare with Pujos is going to be 32/33 in two years
when he becomes a free ag |

为什么把胜投算到最后一个投手Hoffman身上,而不是算到先发的Wolf上?
