神圣的敬畏
经文: 「藐视训言的,自取灭亡;敬畏诫命的,必得善报。」(箴言十三︰13)
对上帝话语的敬畏,常被稀释或打折扣。世人以为他们比上帝的话更有智慧,
所以就随意批判圣经。而我们不敢这么做,因为我们敬畏上帝。我们相信这本圣经所记
载绝对无误,我们也借着遵行祂的话,证明我们的估算是对的。我们倒不是害怕上帝,
而是敬畏上帝。我们不是因为害怕刑罚而勉强遵行律法,乃是因为敬畏上帝诫命,而乐
意遵行祂的旨意。
这种对诫命的神圣敬畏,带来谦卑的安息,要比自我心中的随心所欲,来得心
安快乐得多!因着心中有主,使我们行事有定见、有原则,不致莽撞急躁,像是煞车失
灵的车子。因着心中有主,吸引我们愿意圣洁像祂,定意脱离罪恶,追求公义,求得良

剛出國的時候,作為中國人,都會有一種比較幼稚的想法,就是要融入主流社會,西方
人干什麼,我們就學什
麼。
這里發點議論,我覺得這樣不好,原因大概是因為 中國人是個缺乏民族自豪感的民族
,西化在出國的中國人
中,似乎是個褒義詞。
我們不在意保持自己的民族傳統。這一點上,我們比印度人,穆斯林民族,俄羅斯人
等,都差了一些。當然,
這個道理,也是我完全成年後才想明白的。當學生的時候,也總想著西化自己,“融入
主流社會”了。
這是原因之一。
原因之二,ICLL 從小相信世界上有神,這主要來源于我本人的一些神秘經歷,我甚至

Of Providence
I. God the great Creator of all things doth uphold,[97] direct, dispose, and
govern all creatures, actions, and things,[98] from the greatest even to th
e least,[99] by his most wise and holy providence,[100] according to his inf
