5月24日，美国国务院以签证为由，要求孔子学院中国教师限期离境,引起全美数十家孔子学院，以及和孔子学院合作的大学，一片哗然。
把这两件事情连系起来，不难看出，中国利用孔子学院向全球传播文化和语言，被西方一些右翼分子，当成是中国政府宣传软实力的工具。
作为英方的孔子学院院长，我对这个问题，也是感到非常困惑和震惊。
为什么，中国政府诚心诚意地花钱推广中国的文化和语言，会遇到如此想不到的打击和阻碍？中国政府应该如何对付这样的打击？如何应对今后更加意想不到的困难？
本人认为，中国政府应该做好如下工作：
其一，保持冷静的态度，认真研究对方各种持不同观点和态度的人群，采取有效措施，争取亲华力量，尽量化解冷战思维人士的冷战态度。

，中国人只要不肯被主宰，只要坚持独立自主那就是法西斯。正像我常说的：民主就是
让西方民众来做你的主子，独裁就是企图独立裁决本国事务，法西斯就是设法修改西方
主导的国际秩序，哪怕以最斯文的方式。毛泽东不希望让洋人来做中国人的主子，中国
人希望独立裁决本国事务，中国希望修改完全倒向西方的当今国际秩序，结果中国就成
了法西斯，毛泽东就成了希特勒了。

维基解密日前公布约13.4万份美国国务院外交电报，与以往不同的是，这次公布的电报
均未经编辑，众多秘密消息源的姓名全部曝光。这批电报所涉及的大多是位于亚洲、与

美国已经开始行动：“《纽约时报》8月30日报道，维基解密网站近日公布了近13.4万
份美国国务院外交电报。在这些电报中，一些向美国外交官透露秘密信息人的名字和特
别注明需‘严格保护’人的名字均公诸于世。此举使美国官方大为担忧。美国国务院一
个特别工作组一直在与美国驻外使馆合作，关注泄露外交电报中所提及的消息源，并暗
中向这些人发出警示，一些被认为‘面临危险’的人还将得到美方资助离开其居住地。”

作为世界上最大国家的执政者，中国共产党持续执政已达62年之久。那么迄今为止，中
共的执政业绩到底如何呢？
众所周知，在1949年中共建政以前，由于战火肆虐，外敌横行，中国的国土四分五裂，
满目疮痍；人民普遍食不果腹，人均寿命仅为41岁。但在今天，中国已跻身世界第二大
经济体，成为在全球有重要影响的大国；人民生活迅速改善，人均寿命已达74岁。
但问题还不至于此，对于中共的执政地位，西方的政治和知识精英即使不是直接否定，
也难掩其不快之意。这自然有其原因，在在西方媒体对中国的叙述中，有五大误解流传
甚广，甚嚣一时。以真相揭穿这些误解，已是刻不容缓。
误解一：由于没有选举，中共的执政地位没有得到其治下人民的认可。根据皮尤研究中
心的报告，中国政府享有高度支持，支持率在世界各国中十分靠前；2010年间，中国民
众对国家未来方向的满意度高达87%，这一数字近年来一直保持在80%以上；有66%的民
