正方代表：xiaoju（俺其实也偏向正方，只是反方实在太强大了）
反方代表：yoss。。。（以下略去N人）
其实正反双方说的都没错，ultimately poles是有用的，否则干嘛带一付累赘？反方认为在学习skiing的某个阶段poles不是必须的，说不定会混淆学习的重点，这个观点也很中肯。xiaoju发言的中心思想是当你的水平提高到一定程度就需要关注pole planting的技巧，yoss和其他人的观点是在你的水平提高到一定程度以前，不要刻意去追求pole planting的技巧，双方其实没有什么分歧。
下面这篇文章也是俺这种和稀泥的态度，摘要就是“Ski poles, depending on a skier's experience and ability, can be either an essential part of your equipment or just something extra you have to tote back and forth to the car.”

walking aids是可以carryon的, 你可以一拐一拐的把trekking pole当作canes来用.

a. pole planting make yourself lean forward or lean downhill, that is most
beginners have problem to do. so pole planting, can help you to initialize
the turn by making yourself move your weight forward or downhill.
b. pole planting gives ur rthythm and force to use your waist to finish the

anymore. I searched at lowes and HD websites for "wire rack pole connector"
but did not find it.
Maybe it is called something else? I also searched male to male pole
connector, but only got this similar one:

大约13$一根,
我现在的POLE也是WALMART的,到现在整一年,贴点DUCTTAPE还凑合用着,
以使用频率来看,早就回本了,
等用到不能再用了,就去买这个,估计那时候会出一对一起买的
按WALMART老款POLE的使用情况来看,杆子还比较结实,
头磨损较快,不过也可能我用的太多,
TWIST的罗旋天冷的话容易松,但是新款FLIP LOCK就应该没这问题了. |

下山的用处多一些，其实只要注意平衡，多借树木，更好一些。

到在大多数时候用下身lead turn, 并且雪板在大多数时候paralle, 你就可以开始加入
点杖动作了。我想讲的是点杖的目的：点杖的目的是让重心自然和快速转换。成功点杖
的结果就是白菜说的，点杖，上身稳定，很有rhythm并且smooth的initiate 一个turn.
而更多时候点杖带来的结果是点杖，带动上身， 带动下身， 形成一个别扭， 难看姿
势。 请练习的时候记住一定要保持上身稳定。again， 点杖是手腕动作， 用力不大，
通常是点在滑行方向的左前和右前方（11点和1点方向）。 开始加入点杖的时候会非
常别扭， 你会发现很多timing 问题（正常）， 但你能够协调的完成： 点（上身稳定
), 下身围着点的大概位置转（同时收杖, 并且另一只手出杖）， 点。。。 的循环时
候， 你就已经掌握了点杖了。 block pole plant 在陡的地方， swing pole plant
在mogul 上和short turn. |

发帖数: 1371 | 39 这个雪季雪下的比较多，所以ABasin的east wall三月份就开放了(去年四月底才开放，
前年没有开放)。
于是昨天扛着板子爬到east wall的山脊上，从north pole滑了下来。
用两张别人的east wall照片，自己做了标注：
要到north pole的顶点，需要从最高的lift顶端开始爬山，到了山脊上再沿着山脊上上
下下走一段。总共走了半个小时的样子（包括四处观望），elevation gain大约500尺。
比起去年五月，现在似乎雪还不算多，coverage有点不够。north pole的雪坡上有不少
石头突出。雪况其实不算差，不过我的雪板似乎有点窄了...腰只有80mm，其实还能凑
合，但是有点影响做动作的信心，滑的过程中有时很希望板变宽。

说实话，滑得比较矬。开始的第一个turn很糟糕倒是情理之中的。后来因为雪况和突出
的石头造成的恐惧感，中间还有一次用了falling leaf，一次坐地turn（视频里被剪掉
了）。到最后，可能是体力和信心快耗尽了，其实靠近底下traverse线路的地方已经不
陡了，还是只敢蛙跳，不能正常滑。

好久不来了，忙着写论文毕业呢。
最近几个月健身的内容有所变化，跑步暂时不跑了，spinning也是一周上最多3次。开
始练习热瑜伽。还有一周一次boot camp. pole还一直在练，每周上4个晚上的课。。
奔个新进练的pole trick--knee hold.
hold住以后，upper body 要与地面平行，然后老师要求我们做side crunch 若干。。
