就是说“有情”的本质存在，又好像心理学上所谓的ID，
人如果有自我认知混乱，应该就是发生在这个基本层面。
基本方面失去了自我认识、认可和联系，就会用第二层--器的层面来标签，
这样心就不安稳。
所以有人要用很多年找安心之法。
相对的小人也有这一个基本层，但是因为他根本看不到这一层，就只好完全用第二层来
看人了。

and network/friend support.
我觉得一般的软件编程都外包是真的，我现在在公司做lead developer, 也不全是做技
术, 也在转轨做marketing以及技术。
任何公司都是市场主导的，除了research的公司以外，但即使这样，也是有marketing
在里面的。
所以，我觉得作为developer到了一定的程度，如果不创业或者搞一些偏于marketing的
东西，就很被动了。你想啊，新技术有的是，你如何总是跟刚刚毕业的新手竞争呢？你

Some of that is innate. A friend of mine used to say...it's all in your
blood.
Some of that is an acquired skill. Reading and actively engaging yourself in
asking questions...analyzing things from multiple angles and understanding
the very basics of what makes business a profession/practice as it's all
experience driven would all be helpful...
As time goes on, along with your perseverance, you will achieve a lot. Good

读后体会如下几点很重要，
（1）明确职业发展方向：眼科
(申请眼科是因为自己喜欢，而7年的RESEARCH都是眼科相关)
（2）策略
a. 眼光放远，分析好自己的情况，做好N手准备:
知道眼科难度很大，所以在考USMLE之前就开始和头头们、临床医生们混脸熟，经常参
加SOCIAL EVENTS， 找机会聊天，自我吹嘘和拍马屁。 每个SEMINAR和GRAND ROUNDS都
去，尽管那时候还没下定决心要MATCH呢。后来和CHAIR交心的谈了一次，他说医院也收
过IMG， 表现也都挺好，但是分数一定不能差，不然肯定没戏。复习期间继续和医院的
上上下下打成一片， 最后PD告诉我MATCH上的时候说看上我两点perseverance和
everybody likes you. 眼科圈子小，IMG在他们眼里是圈外人，能MATCH进来就要让他
们觉得你是自己人，成功MATCH进来的案例不少都是在眼科做了几年研究，有人脉的。
b. 学习：

88 is not good, but not too bad either. lots other things outweight the
score, the most important thing, IMHO, confidence, perseverance and good
plan. then connection, personality, score/research/GC...in descending order.
