页纸的OUTREACH,我目前组里有两个中学老师也算OUTREACH直接证据了,谁知道这次还是
被打脸,不知道是不是REVIEWER没看到最后就下结论了,下次考虑把这部分往前面放.
不过这次也有别的新问题,哎,问题年年有,年年不一样,都不知道怎么继续改了.
NIH那边还好点,每次的问题基本都是我弄的团队不行或者是方法没写清楚,目前还知道
往什么方向努力. |

发帖数: 2636 | 31 跟楼主的情况相似，简单也说一下吧。我的研究方向也是超级冷门，真正match的职位
今年只有大概六七个，申请了其中的4个（排名太靠后的没申），三个给了onsite，两
个给了offer，其中一个是我的dream school，专业排名前10吧（超冷门，有排名的学
校就不多），但对我的研究方向简直是perfect match。
Phd学校也是专业排前10的样子，毕业后在本校另一个实验室做了3年博士后，7篇一做
（没CNS），一个book chapter，有postdoc fellowship（唯一一个外国人可以申的
fellowship）。Postdoc的工作搭建了新的平台，而且新平台很大一部分是我的idea我
写的NSF proposal。从一开始跟postdoc导师协商好了整个project都可以带走。
Postdoc期间所有一作文章我都是通讯作者。
经验啥的完全同意楼主的，我就不码字了。很庆幸我的三个面试里面dream school是最
后一个，因为有经验了，而且已经有了一个不错的offer，所以面试的时候非常自信，

这个“拿本科生当博后用”，到底是说明你们做实验的要求的背景知识技能少啊，还是
你们招到的本科生／高中生水平高，学东西快？我就觉得那些本科生就能干的东西没
意思，比如编编程序啊，分析一下一些极其简单的模型啊，等等。真要是想正儿八经
的研究点东西，不修上两年的研究生课，连题目都看不懂。
关键的问题是，我一直想知道，这些outreach到底是怎么做的。现在NSF的教育方面
动不动就希望有点outreach，就算没有高中生，也希望至少有点儿本科生REU的内容，
真是伤脑筋。 |

发帖数: 134 | 47 今天和一个越南人聊了下SCA-5。是个理发店老板。他还没听说过SCA-5。时间有限，只
是简单科普了几句。
由此想到我们应该投入更大的力量去outreach更多的亚裔，这样可以为6月份的初选和
11月份的中期选举进行准备 - 到那时投票权才是最关键的。我们自己的人数是有限的
，估计有投票权的不足1/3。这也是为什么方文忠或者其他华裔民主党政客们不会支持
我们的诉求对SCA-5投反对票。因为对他们而言，得罪了西裔可能意味着其政治生命的
终结。
建议SVCA和其他反SCA-5的组织成立联合行动小组专门负责outreach亚裔的工作。
1）准备各种语言的传单，包括越南语，朝鲜语，泰语，柬埔寨语，等等。菲律宾裔的
情况比较复杂，他们很多人的名字是西班牙源头的，但语言却是东亚源头的。我不清楚
他们是不是可以claim自己是Hispanic从而受益于SCA-5。
2）询问在各电视台做广告的价格。加州有很多local越南语，朝鲜语，泰语，柬埔寨语
的电视台。投票前应高频率的在这些电视台做广告，号召投票反对SCA-5。当然这样做

请先去阻止提案送交参议院。给我们争取一点时间研究再向大家汇报问题的关键在哪里。
紧急动员全美各地人士于今天（6月11日）上午11点（EDT)之前通过Email和电话反对纽
约州参院 S7738 议案，并至少通知两位您的朋友采取行动。这个议案被视为纽约市立
特点高中（Specialized High Schools）的SCA5。目前最紧急的是州参院Rules
